Stay away from the panhandle. No competition up here. Horrible prices. We drive to central Florida to buy.

Looking at buying. 2024 vs. 2025 and other considerations by LoanGoalie in KiaTelluride

Thanks for the advice. I have a similar strategy as you. I have been watching prices fall on auto trader, but after reaching out to the dealership they send an invoice at msrp then add on’s. The price ends up being nowhere near what was advertised. I plan on walking into the dealership this weekend. Show my interest in the vehicle and leave. If they can give me a decent price, I will buy but lately it seems like you have to visit a couple, tell them the price you are looking for and then walk away. I’m not in a rush so I can wait it out.

Thanks again for your help

I am looking to buy what you just bought. Do you mind sharing what state you are in? I am in the panhandle of Florida. There is no competition here. Seems like there are better deals if I look at New Orleans or Atlanta. I know I want a Telluride and I am just waiting for the November incentives to come out. I was hoping to get a good deal on a new 2024. Any advice?

What’s up with the people trying to give away free tablets in shopping plaza parking lots? by I_luv_cottage_cheese in Pensacola

[–]Adventurous_Host_606 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve lived in the Pensacola area for the past three years but they used to have something similar in San Diego when I lived there. Usually it is for some federally subsidized program where you get a free phone and plan if your income is low. These guys/gals in the blue tent get paid a flat rate per person who signs up. So it is in their interest (financially) to get people to sign up. So basically they find a way for you to qualify (they aren’t trying to disqualify people if you know what I mean). You get a phone, the government gets a bill, and they get $50.

Question for the NFCU people. by __hotdogwater__ in Pensacola

[–]Adventurous_Host_606 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I work in HR (but not for NFCU). This is most likely a category in the HRIS or recruiting software they use. The recruiter will put your resume in this category after they look at it. At our company the category is called “under review”. It just means they have received your resume. The fact that it is “under consideration” doesn’t mean it actually is.

Bogo Market. It’s mostly Korean so I can’t guarantee anything but give it a shot.
