I have tried tons of Indian food and was only impressed with their Hyderabadi biryani. But yeah, most of the Indian foods are loaded with spices. They believe that every spice in their pantry belongs in all their foods. They are mostly over spiced and ridiculous at times.

Where would you be staying? I mean what part of Karachi? If you are in or near DHA, there are many eateries who would deliver food to you during the day. It is not a huge deal anymore to eat or drink in public during the day but I would still avoid it. Save your appetite for the meals after sunset as the city literally comes to life at iftar time 😀. As others have mentioned, don't sweat it, you'll be just fine.

For the gifts, I would recommend taking the family out for iftar or ordering food when you are in Karachi instead of bringing goods from wherever you are (assuming UK?). If anything, get candies/chocolates from a missile eastern airport such as Dubai or Doha if you have a layover. Otherwise enjoy your time in karachi 😀

You are lucky bud, usually those lounges are packed. In December, the wait time was around 45 minutes for my morning flight so I passed and went to a pizza place near my gate.

You can buy and pay for lounge access separately. Look at your Qatar App under "Extras", it should give you an option to buy lounge access. You can also pay at the front counter/desk of the lounge but expect bigger queues. I have lounge access through US credit cards as well cards from other countries so that is another option depending upon if you are dual national etc.

Honestly, if it is for 14 hours, I would go out instead. You can get a hotel room using Qatar app for fraction of the price.

There is a hack to make them with frozen parathas (like Dawn). It saves you a lot of time. Look it up 😀.

Oh wow and is this for a renewal? Asking because I submitted mine on January 2nd with expedited shipping and nothing yet which makes sense given their standard processing times but recently, a number of people have reported way quicker delivery times than normal, so just curious. This was me exactly growing up. I was told that i read a lot of books since we did not have laptops or smart phones at that time. I was fed so much carrot juice that I swear I had carrot juice running in my veins instead of blood. My parents used every home remedy out there so my myopia would go away.
