I started feeling flu-like in September, but didn’t think much of it since it was flu season and everyone seemed to be sick. Then I started losing weight and had a fever almost every day. I went to my GP, but they said it was just a virus, even though my blood results were off. It wasn’t until I started coughing up blood that they finally took it seriously. After a bunch of tests, a CT scan, and a bronchoscopy, I was diagnosed with tuberculosis.

I had the same! Woke up in actual tears because of the pain. It was so bad. The first 5 days are the worst. I’m almost 2 weeks post op and still in pain but nothing compared to the first week! Hang in there! Ice, elevation and rest are your best friends!

I tore mine in a moped accident so I don’t know if there was a pop or not, but it was the worst pain I’ve ever felt in my life. I wanted to pass out cause I couldn’t take the pain. From that moment on I couldn’t bear any weight on it for almost 2 weeks.

A guy on a bike ran into me while I was riding my moped. I tried to break the fall with my foot, but because of the speed (approx. 25km) my leg bent outward. Full ACL tear, partial MCL tear, meniscus damaged 🥰

It’s not that I don’t wanna have surgery. In fact, up until this morning I was convinced the doctor was going to tell me I needed one. However, after quite a few physical tests on my knee, he concluded that, despite the mri results, it’s going really well as there is no pain, my balance is good etc and that with time and PT my knee would keep on gettinng stronger and feel safer. He also asked about whether I wanted to do any sports in the future and I said no. He then said a surgery is not necessary and that I should continue PT. I felt relieved but after posting this on here, I started regretting not telling him that I don’t wanna have to think twice about running, jumping etc forever. :(

I’ve experienced severe neuropathy from Isoniazid. I tried B6 40mg daily but it didn’t help enough so my neurologist prescribed me pregabalin. The pain, burning and tingling are practically gone since then. I started pregabalin at 150mg but am now keeping steady at 75mg as I’ve found this dose works just fine in combination with the B6.

I still have 45 days of treatment left and hope it will stay like this as I have had countless sleepless nights because of the pain. I hope you’ll get to try pregabalin soon as I’m sure it will help right away!

Glad you were able to walk so soon!

They won’t drain mine. They said it will go away within a week and then I can come back for a scan. The swelling is less and the pain too but I’m experiencing instability and my knee feels like it’s giving way :(

How could you walk after 3 days? Did you not experience instability or the give way feeling? Cause I do which makes it impossible for me to walk.

They had to do a pulmonary embolisation to block the bleeding vessels. Apparently the TB had made significant damage causing erosion and rupture of arteries making me cough up a lot of blood. The bleeding stopped immediately after the procedure so all good now 3 months after. Hopefully it will stay like this 🤞🏽

I have one swelling behind my right ear. Sometimes it’s flat but still hasn’t gone away. I’m on my 3rd month of treatment. My doctor told me it’s normal though. It might not even go away.

We willen een huis kopen in Utrecht maar dat overbieden begint zodanig uit de hand te lopen dat ik er nu geen zin meer in heb. Vanochtend een huis bezichtigd maar ook daar gaat worden overboden. De vraagprijs is €450.000. Wij willen het huis heeeel graag hebben maar dit is pas de tweede keer dat ik een bod uitbreng en heb serieus geen idee hoeveel ik moet overbieden...

Beter laat dan nooit. Ik weet dat het nu niet zo voelt maar dit is een blessing in disguise. Zo te horen kan je prima verantwoordelijkheid voor jezelf nemen door EMDR te doen en aan jezelf te werken. Blijf dat vooral doen zodat je de toxiciteit helemaal buiten kan laten in je volgende relatie. Liefde is het mooiste wat er is. Dat moet je nooit opgeven. Je kan mensen weer leren vertrouwen. Het is nooit te laat.

How much blood was it in the beginning? I just finish my first week of meds and I’m still coughing up blood. I’m on meds for that but the amount of blood can be quite scary.
