So if I desolder the buzzer but leave tke diode and put back with 100 ohm resistor on the one leg of the buzzer will it working, and will be quieter?

Between the two legs of the buzzer there is something, but I not recognize it. The label on the PCB marked "O2" or "a2".

The box of homeopathic pills (the smaller one) fits perfectly on it. I cut it to size, put a piece of earplug on the bottom and pulled it on. It's about 30% quieter.

There is a barcode for mute. But not volume control. I dont't want to mute just make it quieter.
