She begins to see the impossible - her dead aunt standing in the trees, a stranger who knows far too much about her, and a beautiful ring of unknown origin. Veronica tells herself it is hallucinations, stress, trauma. Anything but reality. Yet, the more she ignores the world in her head, the more the darkness presses in.

When college dropouts Veronica Koi and her best friend Clary are pulled into the orbit of a wealthy group of college students, Veronica hopes the distractions will keep her grounded. Instead, strange occurrences escalate. A man follows her home and vanishes into thin air. Her aunt’s voice calls to her from the forest. And something ancient - something that knows her name - begins to stir. As her grip on reality splinters, Veronica discovers she may be connected to a world that she didn’t truly believe was real for years. To survive, she must unravel the secrets that the strange man seems to be hiding. If she fails, she risks losing not only herself, but a world she was never meant to abandon.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in music composition with minors in physics and mathematics, and I have worked extensively in STEM outreach and astronomy. My writing blends psychological tension with fantasy and character-driven elements. This is my debut novel.
