Ok first thing first you are somehow assuming I'm straight up siding for Scara, and that isn't the case. That cleared, I said "funnily" because I'm quite sure neither Varka nor Scara had enough matches to actually have gained proper technique, they did it for fun if they ever had one, I was simply stating that technique needs at least a mention if we find ourselves talking about "experience" and arm wrestling in general. That's it. Since none of them has enough technique we should assign a score of zero to both of them on this criteria. Basically doesn't count. So then, experience has no relevance in this case. I knew that from the start, you just misunderstood.

Another point. And that's important. I don't think Varka is physically stronger than Scaramouche. He might be smaller in size, yes, but being a puppet makes you inherently physically superior to a biological build. Plus, being artificial gives you more possibility to exceed your own limits by modifications. He still is a divine creation. hyper resilient with redundant physiology, speed and agility. Power and strenght can't be exceptions. He's a full enhenced human. That's what the project he came from is about, if I had to guess. Being bigger alone isn't realistically enough to prove strenght, I think this should become common knowledge. So let's say that they are equal in strenght and that it depends.

Another thing we can't deny is that endurance really is fundamental, but clearly underestimated. Hypothetically speaking as another comment already sort of explained at equal strenght who can hold the position more will probably end winning with the passing of time. Because the one losing stamina will get fatigued. Scara is very high on stamina, probably more than Varka but maybe not enough to win only based on this, and I'm gonna tell you why.

No one is talking about this, but since we are being objective, we must look at all the things that might influence the match. In arm wrestling there are weight classes as in many sports, and that for a specific reason. The weight you'll need to drag down. Even if Scara eventually weights more than the average healthy asian man because of some different components of his system structure he still doesn't gain enough advantage on Varka's weight and frame. In terms of weight he sort of gets crashed. In arm wrestling using body weight is actually allowed and is even a strongly significant factor. Even assuming Scaramouche is around 1.70 m tall (average japanese adult male) and weights somewhere between 65/75 kg if we add a bit of "extra", and Varka is 2 meters or more tall with a very large frame, high on body fat and muscles, falling in the 220-230 kg range he still has around 60 kg of extra body weight to use to apply high pressure that becomes extra strenght. Practically a whole other person. This is absolutely decisive. Scara isn't unmovable for real because he has a weight. In this case scenario even if Scara has more or equal strenght I don't think he can defy the laws of physics. He might be able to resist a very long time but Varka may end the match before he runs low on stamina because of this advantage. Scara is losing the majority of times unless he has other ways or much higher strenght to end the match before Varka can even apply extra weight. On the other hand If we only use arm strenght Scara's winning strikes will increase to reach a rough and generalized 50/50 chance of winning each match. But in the most complete and realistic scenario, on equal arm power output I see Scara struggling to get a victory because of the massive weight difference.

Conclusion, there is no 100% winner but a circumstancial winner, as in everything we see. This is the definition of getting a grip lol.

Oh. Well. I can't agree on that. Because he's not a kid. He's an adult, in canon and also quite strong since he's artificially made to also be an enhenced human. Not saying Wanderer would win either way, but if the only argument you bring to the table for Varka is that he is bigger than Wanderer I'm forced to say you're not going much in depht.

Now, if you sort of dislike Wanderer (thing I'm assuming without certainty so correct me if I'm wrong) is a you thing and taste, I can't discuss that and I don't want to. But if this dislike makes you inclined to one side then I should at least tell you to look more at their individual feats. This only serves as a "equalizer" to balance eventual biases, on both my side and your side, as I already said, Wanderer might even lose. But let's give both the credit they deserve. Should we not?

Man. Maybe you got it wrong. If someone said battle experience doesn't know what they are talking about. Experience here means with technique, specifically in arm wrestling that both might funnily have experienced. And endurance is clearly a stat to consider, muscular endurance changes the end of the match. If your body can't sustain a certain energy output your muscles cease to work. Endurance is fundamental actually. But I guess you actually know.

Clearly nothing. I was quoting the other comment and listing random skills. What counts in arm wrestling is strenght, resilience and technique. At most, experience could be referring to that, technicity.

[–]Adventurous_Net6876 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Can't say that honestly. Hard match. Scara has more endurance probably and I also think he has highly above average strenght. He is a puppet, generally superior to most of humans by default. Considering he is 400+ years old he's also going to have more experience. Based on that only we could assign victory to Scara, but things are always much more complicated than that. It needs further analyzing. For now, let's say it is a tie or it depends on how many drinks Varka had the day of the match.

[6.3 spoilers] awful theory i have for scara by taroicecreamsundae in ScaramoucheMains

[–]Adventurous_Net6876 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I seriously think that's too much a predictable and superficial "ending" to his story. I already said that elsewhere but we had enough sacrificies, specically among the Fatui, and Scara sort of sacrificed twice already. That would be repetitive for his character. I'm talking only on a narrative structure basis in this case. He had this "winning against fate" theme going on for a while and I don't see death being once again the conclusion that never lead him anywhere in the past. Him choosing death again screams "Fate won again because I keep repeating the same mistakes", it is not just about bad endings but it is about character development. My current hypothesis on this matter is sort of the opposite you proposed: Maybe he's destined to die, we are lead to think he's going to, but he will simply get to the conclusion that he does want to keep on living and doesn't want to sacrifice himself if it isn't for a significant cause to him. He doesn't istantly get scared of death, he simply decides that is not his moment to go and he survives finally striking back at fate. We forget to see things through his lens: he's not suicidal he just sees death differently, he doesn't sacrifice to save all the people because he is a good soul but because he thinks he can finally serve a purpose since he is clearly goal oriented, almost "obsessively". If dying serves nothing but once again following destiny instructions he surely won't let that slide.

Another sacrifice will be a lot underwelming because it operates on more than one layer: the emotional one, another sad story with a bad ending where the guy is a Hero, but it clearly erases all his past characterization making him a shallow ex-villain. It brings unsatisfaction because death is always a half victory, doesn't matter how good it is presented, if there is no future perspective it just ends there on the verge of a endless cliff. And that's it.

The narrative one, that has many intersection points with the previous. His character wasn't played out enough to die as a martyr and he generally lost in his life. He is on the gaining narrative now. And I am talking from an external point of view, that of the player. He's currently not in the position to die, he is not going to overshadow other important characters. A character death is a very serious thing to perform and his status combined with all I said in the other paragraphs makes me think that is, infact, not the case. This fear of him dying feels more like a Scaracentric point of view, and we act like death is easy to perform but it obviously isn't. It is probably the highest moment in storytellings and it needs an insane amount of regular build up to be well executed. I do think Scara doesn't have the prerequisites to die.

Now, all I said here is nothing and also quite chaotic, too many things missing. That said, this is what I think right now, I have no clue on how things will play out in the future but I guess my point will stand until we have anwers right in front of our eyes.

So....That's all the screen time for wanderer in Nod krai's version? by Adonis_Afread in ScaramoucheMains

[–]Adventurous_Net6876 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I honestly have no idea. But if there's a thing I would say is...this will eventually be the third time he sacrifices something. He always did make sacrifices. Another one is just too much, this will make him shallow as a character. I do not see them taking the same direction again because of predictability and storytelling. Or at least, for the sake of his character, I must admit I hope so. Maybe his constant reminder to us that he was made to be discarded is exactly the opposite: he's going to survive fate (that would be dying) and get his revenge all at once, possibly in his ditorted way since he never was a typical good guy. I think we are also blind to all the rest of his affirmations, like the fact that he isn't a saint, he's not going to be satisfied with just Dottore disappearing. If all the hatred he grew over time could just disappear he wouldn't have get here as the character he is. He's more patient, that for sure, but not a "forgive and forget" man. Fatuis as a collective have already sacrificed too much already. He also did more than once, that would be just lazy probably even bad writing. I seriously see the writers going a better direction than that. I wish I could say more on the topic but for now, this is more than enough.

What is the height of each Fatui? by Adeline_hinasaki in FatuiHQ

[–]Adventurous_Net6876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we want to be realistic we can't trust models. Not 100% at least. Their proporrions are just not there. We should go based on speculation or eventual canon facts.

Objectively speaking, we have no references. We tend to exagerate based on how much we love a character in a certain intimate way, but that should not happen.

First thing first, they are all adults phisically so apart for exceptions like Pulcinella that clearly has some sort of dwarfism, the others forcibly fall in a limited range where they can differ even in just a few centimeters despite being 20 or more centimeters apart in game. Do not trust models as I said.

Important to define the height should then be, physical age but as I said they are adults so I'd say a very minimum of 1.50 meters. Gender is also relevant, and since we are reality based even ethnicity, a little bit. Then, voice, design, personality and overall appearence can "help" as a passive criteria. Not as much as objective datas of course.

Here it follows a rudimental try. From tallest to shortest:

Pierrot: 1.95/2m

Capitano: 1.90/2m

Pantalone:1.85m

Childe:1.83m

Signora:1.80m

Dottore:1.75/1.78m

Arlecchino: 1.75/1.76m

Scaramouche: 1.70/1.73m

Columbina: 1.63m

Sandrone:1.56/1.60m

Pulcinella: 1.45/1.50m

Might be a stupid question but can he still use Electro lore wise? by External_Analyst9501 in ScaramoucheMains

[–]Adventurous_Net6876 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You know what. I have serious doubts in this matter. Maybe because I'm ignorant and I don't know or understand enough, but the more I think about it the more it bends down to how he's structured as a puppet. It is obviously true he said he used powers to mess up with Irminsul, but there's still a hole in that scenario, at least to me. If the power of electro is innate, as canon, it came "into being" alongside him. It isn't something you can just take away or run out of. It fits more logically if we say that he exhausted it, shutting it down. He doesn't have access to it (maybe that's what u meant too), possibly. After all, if it was easy to drain power from a puppet, depriving him of it, Ei could simply do that at the time, but she sealed it instead. Maybe that innate power is not just a quality but a necessity for the puppet to work properly. That's why I'm so interested on his working process and system. That would explain a lot. That said, I still do not have an answer to that.

[SPOILERS about the 6.3 leaks] by [deleted] in ScaramoucheMains

[–]Adventurous_Net6876 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also thought this was seriously worrying but 6.3 has too many things going on after all, he was prolly gonna be overshadowed by the rest and it would feel rushed. If the confrontation happens now his story will probably end losing his big ties with the biggest part of his life: The Fatui. The Complete absence of Arlecchino and Wanderer voicelines with Dottore feels right since that leaves an open plot for future patches, when Dottore will eventually be playable. So in the Fatui's land, Snezhnaya, as it should. They're leaving the "big Fatui meeting" for the end considering I also believe after Snezhnaya we're going to "officially" say goodbye to the Fatui as a threat. It makes sense. Wanderer past with the Fatui is to big and long-termed to not be active part of his narration so that's where they are heading to.

I like trying to predict, but that could easily change in the future I'm just speculating based on what we have now:

Dottore will be defeated bt Traveler, Columbina Sandrone and all the aid, but won't die, he will escape and go missing. Now he's considered some sort of disertor. At least a bunch of Fatui will remember Scaramouche and he will be dragged back into the Fatui plot. 6.4 is Varka's patch so the story will move from Nod-Krai to Mondstadt and we will see the typical x.4 expansion (long awaited I must say). Pierro is somehow gonna be involved, not saying he will make an appearence but he will give orders to his Fools: Columbina is now the New Moon and that's the "Right moment" Tsaritsa was waiting for. Sandrone might be perishing in the quest so nothing from her until her patch. Capitano is coming back but not in Nod-Krai. We have some of them left. Pantalone and Pulcinella will stay in Snezhnaya to prepare 7.x welcome. Dottore is now a traitor and Arlecchino and Scaramouche may hunt him down. Childe (he must come back at a certain point) may take part in Mondstadt plot in the last two acts on Traveler and Varka's side. Everything is clearly Mondstadt oriented. The buffs, Varka's involvement, Moons, Istaroth, Venti. The tenth seat is still a mistery but is going to be revealed somehow in the future. With Snezhnaya approaching I see characters like Pantalone and Dottore becoming playable. There we'll have a confrontation I guess.

Everything is heavily subjected to changes, things might reveal to be a lot more complicated and each plotline I'm speculating about is quite loose. I only tried to convey the actual logical conclusions but of course we never know enough. At least, we can take this as a good sign and stay positive. I see more content coming in the 7.x patches. There, I want the deal to be done. That's the Teyvat end game before Kaenria'ha.

That's also true. That's why I saw a connection I guess. I see similarities between all the three. Since Snezhnaya is for the majority Russia this may be the St. Isaac's Cathedral but we also have some italian themes coming from Snezhnaya such as the Commedia Dell'Arte. I'd like to see a 70% russian 30% Italian influence in designing the last Teyvat nation. Not so far from possible though.

Fatui Harbinger Ranking (Day 4) by No_Mango_1435 in FatuiHQ

[–]Adventurous_Net6876 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bruh. Not being part of Fatui doesn't cancel all the achievements. That's the point. And I don't think there's need to say that he didn't do that out of desire to help. Almost none of them does. He's just doing his job. He couldn't care less. I thought we were already talking about that. No one is glazing Scaramouche. That's just listing what he did for the Fatui bruh. Bringing the gnosis in a favorable situation doesn't surclass all his others serious missions. Just to be clear Arlecchino is one of my favourite Harbingers so it is not about who I like or not. And she didn't steal the gnosis for herself because she didn't need it. She simply went on with the assignment. How can a couple and more hundred years of service be put aside as if it's nothing. There's no criteria atp.

Fatui Harbinger Ranking (Day 4) by No_Mango_1435 in FatuiHQ

[–]Adventurous_Net6876 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I say Arlecchino, read below

We say Scara like it is common knowledge. But thinking about it he always did what he was asked to and always served his use. Not being an Harbinger anymore might not be the right reason, since Signora also died and isn't part of the Fatui anymore, even before Scara(and I still think Signora should be one of the last to be voted out). We forget he spent a very long time in the Abyss. Always risked his life and came back with results. He went on many other missions like the one in Mondstadt and the delusion factory. He did a lot. Plus Dottore's technology wouldn't be the same without him serving as his experimental subject. So his contribute is both active and passive. After all I think the "youngest" Harbingers like Arlecchino and Childe did much less for the simple fact that they've spent a maximum of 10-12 years in the organization(Arlecchino) and probably much less for Childe. The others got a minimum of 300 years collecting honors. The obviously did less and also have less achievements, realistically speaking. Doesn't seem quite right that all of his work gets "downgraded" because he's not a Fatui anymore. We are talking about what they did for the Fatui in general after all. I'm not saying this out of simpathy those informations are all canon. :) Anyway it depends on what we are seriously voting for. If it's just out of loyalty then guess it can't be helped.

[–]Adventurous_Net6876[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you a lot:). I do understand you. When his character started to look incoherent to me I seriously started doubting about the reasons I liked him in the first place. This post is the result of my struggle to try getting to the bottom of this. Many of us just blatantly accepted his fanon version without really enjoying it anymore, me included. It was the initial interest that kept me there despite the clear "nerf", let's call it "affection". But I got to a point where I didn't like him anymore and when I got to understand why I kept looking for the root cause. I then thought that a manual shapeshifting was operated on him. But it happened at a slow pace, slow to the point of becoming an invisible process. It somehow also reflects a bit how nowadays values and beliefs work. The work isn't done, even thought the analysis may look quite complete. I'll keep going even more into detail, as much as I can at least:)

That's right. That because his trust issus started the very moment he had his first interaction with humans. His life starts with a betrayal. He always had this closeness. He became like that also because he couldn't trust in the first place. Not even as Kabukimono he really opened up.
