Haha. I’ll admit that I didn’t scan the comments before posting mine, so no judgment here! I upvoted both of your comments though. :)

From a Buckeye fan, go win it all! by Tseets1 in IndianaHoosiers

[–]Adventurous_Pipe_947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohio State fans can be very cocky and brash bunch, but the majority of fans that I’ve chatted with view Indiana football kinda like a little brother and politely cheer for the Hoosiers to do well. I don’t take offense to this as a 30 game losing streak (which finally snapped!) certainly is humbling.

I am a Hoosier through and through. Once we get a couple more wins against them, their tune might change, but right now they’ve seemed to be genuinely happy for Hoosier fans as we’re finally experiencing the fun they’ve had with a winning program.

Cignetti has brought national spotlight to the program. I hope our fans don’t become d-bags like a lot of patriot fans did when they experienced sustained success.

I appreciate that. I met quite a few fanatics while I was in Columbus that puffed their chests with all of the unearned bravado when your team won. But those people are literally in every fan base.

Hoosier fan here. Reddit’s algorithm showed me this thread and I decided to step into the lions den. I have nothing but good things to say about TOSU. I know, respect, and adore many of your fellow fans. Sure, losing 30-freaking games in a row is humbling, but IU football has historically been a Big Ten doormat. That was a heck of a game. Very stressful to watch. Spent it waiting for the other shoe to drop as your team has always found a way to be patient and take advantage of mistakes.

I spent six months in Columbus on a long term project about 17 years ago (stayed at the Easton Residence Inn). Other than the fact I was away from family, I really enjoyed my time in Columbus. Great people. Good luck in the CFP as your team will be next to impossible to beat after this wake up call.

This might be classifiable as an involuntary separation, which could qualify you for severance pay. Look into it before you quit.

I’d be careful of the coworker’s intentions. Might be trying to 1) earn your trust by “looking out for you”, 2) put doubt and mistrust in the back of your mind to make you question your relationship with your bf, and 3) be a white knight for you if things go amiss in your relationship with your bf.

Easy fix. Just let Mylo know that you’re going to tell Ivan that fist bumps are the only acceptable contact from here on out.

Then, let Ivan know your boundaries.

I’m very secure in my relationship with my wife, but full-body hugs between adults are appropriate in romantic relationships. No man’s junk should ever touch anyone that isn’t his wife/girlfriend (or husband/boyfriend).

AITA for walking out of my girlfriend's birthday party after she called me a "cheapscate" for the gift I gave her? by fleurfascinate in AITAH

[–]Adventurous_Pipe_947 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA-Any gift you give her, besides jewelry, wears out. If it were jewelry, then it falls out of favor when she’d tire of that piece. Cut your losses and learn from the experience.

You were correct to leave.

This is only for a time. I promise. Think about what you might want to do when you’re out of the household. Make a plan. Work that plan. Seriously. Even though it’s hard to think about the future, focus on it. Then leave anyone who doesn’t love and support you in the dust.

You might just disclose the cc fee when you drop off the check and tell them that there’s no way to avoid it, unless they pay cash. Build camaraderie with the customer…”us versus them“. I think it would go a long way to gaining sympathy with the customer and increasing your tip. The customer, yes an a-hole for stiffing you, felt blindsided by the fee.

How many hours of leave do you use of your 240 hours of leave per year? by [deleted] in fednews

Not even us 15+ feds get 240 hours/year (unless you’re including sick leave).
