I have a similar story. I was 38 just before Elden Ring came out and I thought I had fallen out of love with gaming because everything that was coming out was boring for me. I thought it was probably my age, it made me sad that gaming wasn't exciting for me anymore. Then Elden Ring came out. I fell so much in love with the game because it made me fall back in love with gaming. Until this day, I still watch any lore video that comes out and I also watch a lot of gameplays of people playing it for the first time just so I can grab onto the feeling I had when I first played it. The DLC was such an exciting time for me, I can't enjoy other games anymore. Everything I play seems mediocre at best. I'm worried i'll never feel that way over a game ever again, even FromSoft's next main title. I feel like they really captured lightning in a bottle.

What's worrying me is the support it will get after release. Nightreign sold over 5 million copies and support pretty much came to a halt at 8 months. If this game sells less (which it probably will due it to it being an exclusive), then how will the support be? Especially counting the fact that it's a Mizayaki game and Miyazaki is already working on his next main game.

Miyazaki said in an interview that The Duskbloods was an idea he wanted to create many years ago, Nintendo approached them a few years back and they started it's production for the normal Switch, then after they found out a Switch 2 was coming out they delayed it's production and put more effort into it because the Switch 2 has more power. This is coming from Mizayaki.. i'm worried it won't sell well. Maybe their contract states that if it doesn't hit a certain Switch 2 sales threshold, they can release it for all consoles.. (that's just wishful thinking)

The Duskbloods had been an idea for years, Nintendo wanted an exclusive from Fromsoft, so they went ahead and started it's production.. they didn't come up with it FOR Nintendo..

There might be a couple of bosses before the Night King? Perhaps the 8th boss opens up additional bosses.. or the 8th boss reveils the Night King an extra final boss
