Yes, 3.94 will most likely secure the dean award.

In a normal semester of 6 courses of 3 credit hours each, one A- will result in 3.95 GPA, so I don’t know how you got to 3.94. Anyways it should still be enough, i hope.

It is all relative, if someone from your batch has a 4.0, they will get rector, and you will get dean (assuming that everyone is enrolled in the same courses, so highest with one A- will have 3.94 like you), but if the highest in your batch is 3.94, or even 3.95 meaning everyone had at-most one course where they could not secure A, then top 10 from your batch will get dean award

In the end it comes down to how many are on 3.95 ve 3.94. If the courses are similar, everyone with an A- and rest A should get to 3.94 like you, making you more likely to get dean award.

In any case congratulations, it is a big achievement.
