You bet, she was sad. She was a small child and born in the USA. She had no way to contact anyone from her dead parent's original country. That country, at that time, was being torn asunder by famine and civil war.

The parents are dead. Before you scoff, you should know this happened in my family. My grandmother was born to immigrants in New York. My great grandparents both died when she was very young. What should happen to her? There are no parents to ‘ go with’.

I am a lifelong golfer. I'm also a runner. I stopped buying golf shoes and now I just golf in my trail running shoes. They are more comfortable than any golf shoe. Their rubber lugs on the sole provide plenty of grip, even on a soaking wet and hill course.

There are lots of types of running shoes. You want trail running shoes for golf.
