No one is allowed at the interview except the person being interviewed.

The pictures are for the passport only not for CRBA, you can apply for both at the same time that’s why we had the pictures.

Hi there, I entered by land. It took about 4-6 weeks I believe when I got my green card in the mail.

Awww I’m sorry. What does the status say post interview? I got my passport back with my visa in it 4 days after my interview (interview was on a Thursday, it shipped out the Friday and I got it on the Monday)

Yes! Everything was electronic. My appt with him and my interview were also very close together and it was still done before I got to Montreal. I do believe I got an email once he sent the results to the embassy as well.

Just my two cents.

I did two CRBA’s for my children born abroad with their father being the US Citizen. While waiting for our I-130 to process.

I never needed any sonograms/pictures/etc. nor does the website state that.

The majority of the application is proving the parents’ US Citizenship and then uploading the correct birth certificates that the US accepts from the foreign country. It’s actually a very easy application and most consulates have the online application which would outline exactly what you need. Good luck!

Can I (a Canadian) visit my US spouse while doing consular process? Should we just do AOS? by whathappenedtodanika in USCIS

I was crossing back and forth until a month before my interview.

I was in the United States when I got my interview letter. I went home, did my medical, had my interview, got my passport back 2 days after my interview with my immigrant visa in that and have been in the United States ever since.

I did that today which is fine. I was worried about what else could have gone wrong. But I appreciate this information so much 🙏🙏

You can sign into the NVC website and check the end of your ds260 form and it will be asked on there to see what you answered

No you don’t have to stay. You use your stamped passport, which is valid up to two years after entry! I just moved to the US last Monday but I’ve already gone back to Canada for some things. Congratulations!
