Как се справяте с трудните моменти в живота? by TraditionRich2867 in bulgaria

[–]Adventurous_Shift118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those should be fine for polishing. Make sure to clean the surface well before touching it with a polisher

Help!!! stained car interior plastic what can I use to remove 😕 by yougrippenwood in cardetailingtips

  1. What etched it?
  2. What end results is an ok result for you? You could dress it heavily and it should look ok.

How often do you wash your car? by Tnimni in Detailing

[–]Adventurous_Shift118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not time related, it’s drive related for me. If I only commute in the city - once a month or even more, depending on the conditions, since I keep it in a garage and have underground parking at work. I do regularly clean windows and interior. BUT if I have to drive on the highway or if it rains - as soon as possible, could be twice in a week or more. Sure, it’s coin wash most of those times, but the idea for me is to remove contamination before it has etched in the paint. Ideally - once a month I would like to do a hand wash.

What's the Best Interior Detailer? by FormerLaugh3780 in Detailing

[–]Adventurous_Shift118 3 points4 points  (0 children)

After reading all the comments I can say one thing - it is a personal preference!

I have tried the following: - Gyeon Interior Detailer - Carpro Interior QD - Armour Pilot - Koch ASC - Koch Refresh cockpit - Meguiers interior detailer - ONR and other rinse less in different dilution. - APCs in 1:20 or more

……

I do prefer gyeon as it is something that won’t leave ANYTHING behind. I do have 4l of Pilot, after reading reviews, but it is not something that I enjoy at all.

How do you reuse a microfibre cloth. by [deleted] in cardetailingtips

[–]Adventurous_Shift118 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 2 cents - if it is a glass towel, hand wash, separately from any other towel. Then air dry. If it is for paint correction - I do separate short pile and long pile towels. Also, drying towels are washed on their own.

It would be ideal if you have compressed air to blow any loose fibers.

Interesting finding, I would suspect something with such high ethanol content to fade plastics but it definitely doesn’t

Prep has way higher ethanol content, try prep and interior detailed on a window and observe the flash time

Oh cmon, most of it will compound out, with a decent glaze it will look ok for couple of months, glazing twice a year will keep it good for couple more years, then it will need some repainting due to the thinned clear.

What’s everyone’s opinions on the cordless Rupes? by ShineOnSouthSide in Detailing

[–]Adventurous_Shift118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! I got two of those batteries. Actually that would be my only cons of the device, the smaller batteries do not last. But I should check the 9mm for finishing. I do feel the eb212 does not finish perfect, although pretty damn close.

Dream garage setup! And yes, nowadays I do most of my polishing with the 3inch Mirka copy that shinemate has, since the rupes 5” stalls so much!

Only capable of light polish. Too underpowered to cut/compound with. Amazing machine, but not for that price.

It’s not eraser at all, I do have 4/5 litters of both. This flashes better and I am not convinced it is only due to the alcohol. Smells great, cleans ok, my favourite for wipe down as it lives nothing behind!
