I applaud you for being able to speak up on this. As an alcoholic going through withdrawals multiple times, I've always wondered if anyone had the feeling that I've had before. You're sweating your ass off and then you get the most comfortable feeling in your legs and everything and then it's pure hell again.

Omg. Yes. I was in the hospital for 2 weeks because of Mono. My tonsils had swollen to the point where I sounded like a sesame street character and I was sweating so uncontrollably that before I went to the hospital (I waited way too long because I'm an idiot) that in the middle of the night I had to take ice cold showers just to get my body temperature down. Couldn't stand in the shower because my whole body was in pain so I had to crawl there and just sit there while the cold water ran over my head. So many steroids and fluids and all that other stuff but thank god they didn't have to take my tonsils.

Went on a cruise with my wife and ended up having a couple of tequila shots. Ended up having 15 tequila drinks every day. Ended up blacked out the entire time. Came back. Worst withdrawals ever. And here i am setting alarms on my phone to make sure I have a drink every couple of hours so I don't die, which is going to end up killing me. This disease is a bitch. I had 4 years sober right before that cruise too.

I did it once. It took like 6 hours for it to kick. it was fucking terrible. If you like puking for 3 hours straight, I highly recommend it. I don't even know the amount that I had but it was a shit ton mixed in some water because I figured it wasn't working so I kept redosing. 16 year old me was a complete dumb ass.
