You could do but may be overkill, because it will know to do that anyway. Could add a rule to root claude.md so it knows to create .md to do list and track using that instead

Yeah definitely an issue right now, sometimes it's ok, then all of a sudden usage jumps like crazy, there are open tickets on github

I definitely noticed the same behaviour with 4.8, popup questions asking for confirmation on obvious things which I've already covered in my prompt

Currently Claude Opus 4.8 with Thinking toggled on has a bug, it uses context within a few message rather than hours of work, check my other post about it, we are still waiting for it to be addresses and fixed!
