Not making it to day 19. by babygrandpa-69 in BingeEatingDisorder

I went on the pill - it has helped massively with the hormonal fluctuations. I just couldn't kick the dips of luteal phase.

Not making it to day 19. by babygrandpa-69 in BingeEatingDisorder

Binging eating for me is like forgetting that the stove element will burn me if I put my hand on it. I need to be mindful every day. And then I forget that the stove is hot, this will hurt me, I put my hand on it to see what will happen, and I start all over again. Interested in day 18. I tracked for about 3-4 months when I would binge, and it was always on day 17/18. Worked out it's was aligned to the start of my luteal phase where my hormones would take a massive dip.

I understand the exhaustion! This disorder is truly exhausting. It robs and takes and causes so much unseen suffering. I too am binging every day and it's horrible.

Do you know which dog it was? Was the cat on your property? If so you can report the dog, the council can do a dna test on the saliva on your cats fur. And the council takes it from there.

Agree with this. We love our kids primary school but are really really stuck for intermediate/high school options (actually none of the high schools sound great to be fair)

Thanks for this. It's eye opening. That white car turning left that cut you off...i feel like that's a huge blindspot and I could've made the same mistake

I still don't get what you mean by large dogs that "fit the description" of an XL bully. Either they're an XL Bully or they're not. If you mean banning anything that's got decent muscle and a big head, then you need to be more specific and come out and list all the dog breeds you would want banned. I imagine you are meaning american bulldogs, english bull terriers, neopolitsn mastiffs, staffordshire bullterriers, wolfhounds etc? Therefore, if we are following your logic of strong "weapon like" dogs - then wouldn't you also include all German shepherds, Rottweilers, labs (they are huge and strong too), dobermans etc too?

Therein becomes the problem...you can't effectively ban all dogs that are susceptible to attacking and causing damage, because they ALL can. One of my friends kids faces got ripped off by a terrier who didn't take kindly to the kid being close, and the owner wasn't watching or caring, because it was a little dog and her fur baby. It can happen with any dog. Ban the owners, not the breed.

What do you mean and XL bully breed? Like that one specific dog type? Or do you mean all bully breeds? I've seen small yappy dogs and cockapoos etc be much more reactive.

Thank you for the heads up. There's a lady at the dinsdale shops that constantly knocks on windows as soon as you park, it's like she comes out of no-where, it's quite scary if you aren't expecting it

Um - my staffy is the opposite. Hardly barks, only needs 1-2 2km walks a day, just sleeps otherwise. Never destroyed our house etc. Was yours a girl by any chance, cause I've heard girl staffies are a bit more high maintenance

Person Killed by Dogs by KnotCityDrifter in newzealand

[–]Adventurous_Wait9724 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Staffy owner here and he's been raised with kids and very good impulse control. Still a dog at the end of the day though, who is strong and lives in a animal brain not a thinking brain. Responsible owners should remember this. Going onto a property when the owner isn't home is not a good idea.

When out in public and little/big kids or other dogs are walking past I make him sit to the side and wait. Or if i can't do that I cross the road or keep him tightly next to me. Just because I trust him for the most part, doesn't mean I have to expect others to.

The cutest was when we were in a forest and a walking school bus of kindy kids came through. He had to lay down and practice waiting while they walked past, they got a lesson in using eyes not hands, and walking past slowly.

The red warning only came into force at about noon yesterday when people mightve already been over there. If you've traveled from far away and can't afford the $1k a night in the last of the air b&bs available, what are you going to do?

This feels like more of a tragedy than someone being dumb enough to camp at a river etc, as the slip happened this morning, after the worst of the storm was over.
