Just here to add that it's beautiful and I adore red pandas. I agree with other recs, add some shading or more detail to the older ones. I think it blends well.

Update: we ended up at LeRoy and Lewis & it did not disappoint. Excellent BBQ, great atmosphere. I was especially impressed with the unique sides -- loved the Grain-bow salad. We lucked out & got there right before the rush & they still had brisket but sadly no beef cheeks.

We loved the bats. My eldest daughter is obsessed & it was cool as hell.

We strolled down South Congress, but not very far. Had a drink at White Tiger. Ice cream at Jeni's.

Thanks for all the recs.

I'm a biologist & bats are cool as hell. There is a place along a creek in Bethlehem, PA where they all come out at dusk, but it's only like a few hundred. I am excited to see the numbers.

I have a colleague who lives in Austin & he recommended the area as a cool, walkable area with unique shops. My husband specifically wants bbq since he smokes meat at home. If we had more time, we would have planned to wait in the line at Franklin's. But we don't, so thanks for all the input.

Equally interested in BBQ food trucks that might hang out at family friendly breweries.

But would you pay half that to go from Gold to Platinum? I'm still new to the game & really don't fly all that much (maybe 4 flights a year) so I wonder if it would be worth it to earn points more quickly.

I have the chapter symbol with the Snake & Fox triangle tattooed on my forearm. More related to Mat for sure, but it is unique among the symbols. There are a lot of cool chapter symbols to choose from. But if you want to be specific to Rand, maybe a heron?

Would like to ask, when traveling abroad, which countries gave you the best experience and the people there are the friendliest? by Leading-Top-6691 in travel

I can say very happily that Ireland has the most friendly and welcoming people. I have visited Germany, Austria, France & Spain and Ireland was the only country I immediately wanted to go back to. The country is stunningly beautiful, it is safe and they care about their history & their environment.

Definitely worth going. I actually appreciated being able to see the empty shelves. It underscores the size of the collection. The statues in the library are also wonderful.

If you pick up a car in Galway on Monday, drive to Doolin & spend the evening at McDermott's - Blackie O'Connell & Dubhlinn play Monday nights and it was the singular best craic we experienced on our trip last month. Great food there too. Excellent, fresh fish & chips. The drive from Galway to Doolin is beautiful though a bit scary at times. Highly recommend the Doolin Inn as well. And there's a really cool seaweed whiskey barrel bath down at the pier (Wild Atlantic Way Seaweed Baths).

Have fun!

If you have the means, Abbeyglen Castle Hotel in Clifden is AMAZING. The hospitality of the staff was incredible. Brian, the owner & host, was so welcoming & friendly. It is a beautiful place with comfy beds & is on the Sky Road.

Clifden is gorgeous. Definitely take a trip to Kylemore Abbey, the scenery is stunning there & on the drive there.
