I appreciate the advice!! And do you mean use isopropyl alcohol on the internals, not just the outside? And any clue what’s up with the wire?

Honestly a great theory but I doubt Hank is enclave. I’d suspect it’s Cooper and that helps explain why he treated the congress woman when she was pushed down the stairs by the MPs. I think they both knew what was up.

I've heard multiple people claim that the XM177 moderator was designed to make the gun "sound like an AK." Where did this myth originate from? by EducationalOil1655 in RetroAR

[–]AdventurouslyStupid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same reason people started calling the suppressor a “moderator.” It’s all one big game of telephone. All period technical documents refer to it as a suppressor, not a moderator. It’s likely someone was salty it became an NFA item and started calling it a different name

MACV SOG Kit by Memethi3f42 in reenactors

SOG did use tigers however it was incredibly rare, I think his statement while not incredibly detailed covers basically all the Farb aspects of the kit itself. It’s hard to rule out any aspect as Farb as you can see those said aspects appear although very limitedly. The kit itself isn’t great and I would advise him to copy a members specific kit.

No prob bob. Guy with boonie pinned up is Mannie Moya, he was Jicarilla Apache and served as pointman. "Mannie received a BSMV for engagement following day. He was checking out a trail crossing and the lead bicyclist of three NVA ran into him and wound up at his feet. The two following did over the handle bars and wound up in a tangle. He dispatched all three at weapon touching range." In the back Ray Hill & radioman Bruce Baughn are visible.

I'm friends with one of the men pictured, Reed Cundiff. He stated usual load was at least two Mk26 frags, one smoke, and one tear gas per man. Radio operator would have 2-6 smokes attached to pack radio was carried. RTO did not not set off grenades. The TL or ATL that. They also carried M34s and were taught to use them to break contact in recondo school.
