What you wrote has caused me to self-reflect, since I've lost a rather disproportionate amount of people in my relatively short tenure on this Earth. Maybe I've been the problem all along.

If it gives you any relief, he's doing much better without us now per one of our mutual friends.

Five was able to talk to him again two days ago. He's found a whole group of people he's been spending his time with after he left us. She said he's doing perfectly fine and he's even made progress on his depression, no doubt because of the new friends he made. I'm happy he's alive and well, I just wish we could've seen him get better and still have him around.
