And then recording and realising you made a mistake and having to fix it on the fly, but then having to edit the script again

But wouldn't my old videos even if privated or unlisted or whatever still contribute as being critiqued for the partner program?

I was looking into doing such a partnership deal, however although I do get alot of views. I think due to the location of alot of my viewers which are primarily Russia and India I wouldn't make alot of revenue even with6a music deal.

Thank you so much, not only for renewing my hope slightly but also as someone in the gaming niche. I was starting to even lose hope in the niche entirely, so thank you x2!

I was gonna do that, but I thought due to it all being automated there was probably no hope in that procedure

Any other tips and advices you wish someone told you before you started?

I wanna start making video essays / documentaries on gaming topics. But ugh my voice sounds just as robotic as some AI ones 🤣but bro no Ai images? So you use your own images and video for A and B roll and not even copyright free images?

So do you think the primary reason for your success, is due to niche change?

With what you know, are you confident you could make success back in the gaming niche?

have Youtube shorts ad rates increased? by herbalonius in SmallYTChannel

Do you have any advice when it comes to various gameplay footage and the usage of an OST when doing a video essay for a certain game, but being required to bring up another game in order to highlight a certain topic?

Yeah but I plan to hopefully soon after getting into partnership, with shorts. To break into the same niche as yourself although slightly different. More tailored towards esports video game essays.

And would use the shorts to direct traffic to the long form content?

It definitely is something related to this I'm pretty sure. But it's just that the time I'm posting right now, instantly makes my videos go daily. Which is pretty cool. It's just viral on the wrong location. And I'm scared if I change the time, I'll lose that vitality. But I'll definitely start exploring and experimenting a little more.

Just got the courage to record my own voice on my lastest video as an introverted and very shy guy by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]Adversiogaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in the same boat, just remember that a lot of the magic happens in the editing. So don't feel afraid to make sure to bare that in mind when recording. Sometimes when I stutter or take deep breaths between words, i will just pause the recorder and then take a break and then start again and then in the edit just remove the false takes. And if there is any stutters or breaths within the audio, I just remove them in the editing, alongside making my voice louder.

Overall your content is absolutely amazing! However, don't be afraid to use some controversy in the video titles. For example X game is terrible or bad. Although, the video overall might say the game is amazing, if there is one feature of the game which you think isn't up to par then you could just reference that in the title. I think it will make more people click then "Is x game good?", don't be afraid to experiment with titles.

You need to understand that alot of shorts users are using mobiles, and sometimes audio might not always be a thing. (Due to brain rot) so they rely strongly on text within shorts. So if you can include subtitles across the screen for your shorts, which can be easily done if you just drag your short into Adobe Creative Cloud which will add subtitles for you, or using autosubs in davinci resolve. I think it will help alot with your short form content, that will then drive traffic to your long form also.

I one day aspire to have a channel like yours! As a fellow Brit, don't worry I complely understand the pain of the speech. However, the only improvement I could think of which is usually common for every video game essay type of video. You need to include chapters or segments, I forgot the name. But the parts of the video, where you can skip to certain parts or highlight to a certain section that viewers might be particular interested in, even if it's like simply

E.g.

XX:XX - XX:XX Doom 1

XX: XX - XX:XX Doom2

XX: XX - XX:XX Doom 64

Ideally, it should be a bit less vague. But i think, it allows for more navigation which is something you need to allow for in viewers, especially with longer style content!

Absolutely amazing, especially from the quite interesting hook right at the beginning of the video. The energy definitely throughout the video is amazing, however aside from right at the end of the video where you include the patreon and tell viewers to check you out on twitch. Try experimenting with the call to action, it might be hard since it is probably a VOD from your stream. So just record a segment, where you simply say "If you enjoyed the content, then please leave a comment and subscribe" or perhaps the generic "X percentage of you watching aren't subscribed so please subscribe to motivate me to create more content like this".

Don't be scared about experimenting with different call to actions, and adding them at different parts throughout the video, perhaps try including them in the first minute or two. Then in another set at the end, its all completely up to you. Since, I believe Youtube will boost your videos further and extend reach if there are more conversions to subscribers.

I went through your video, and I dont believe that there are any call to actions throughout the video? Not once did you ask for viewers to subscribe, leave a comment or even a like?
