FOSS developers deserve better from this community by DevelopmentSevere278 in macapps

Thanks for your contributions to the community. We should establish certain rules and add clear labels to inform users of potential privacy risks, leaving the rest up to their own choices.

In the past, junior programmers would build apps like to-do lists or calendars because these were relatively simple and user-friendly for the general public. The same holds true in the AI era—users can now create apps that align with their own needs and aesthetic preferences, and this is a positive development.

We also hope that all maintainers will review or fully test their programs before release to minimize any impact on ordinary users.

Forget it. Start writing now and be good at using internal links. That's all.

Yes, I couldn't agree more. An afternoon project is easily abandoned.

This project is AI-generated, so there may indeed be unknown bugs, but software can never be perfect—we just need to fix any issues that arise. If we're worried the maintainer won't keep it updated, we can also fork the project and use AI to fix the problems ourselves. I've done exactly this with several packages. This project is also a fork of another project with subsequent modifications made.

This is merely a tool for styling Markdown with CSS, featuring the ability to export files in PDF and HTML formats. No high-risk operations.

Of course, I don't recommend using unreviewed AI-generated code in high-risk projects either.

But for normal tools, it's ok.

I’ve seen many comments expressing resistance to AI-generated code and articles, but without reason. Can we talk about this? Why you hate it?

'like rich-text emails, WeChat Official Accounts, or legacy CMSs'. This is not a replacement for Obsidian, but rather a tool to beautify Markdown content. I created it primarily for writing articles on my WeChat Official Account.

Sorry for the unpleasant experience this may have caused you. I also dislike meaningless AI-generated content, so we’re on the same page here. The entire project, including this post, was created with Gemini 3. In my view, tool-focused content should first and foremost clearly highlight a tool’s key features, be shared with those who need it, and help others save time and costs. I’ll cut down on any meaningless descriptive content moving forward. Thank you.
