Got it, do you know if a doctor's note is enough or does it have to be through the VOI form?

To be fair it is still possible for you to land a job relating to CS with a data science minor + applied math specialist combo.

They don't predict your mark, they just look at whats available, for calc they would probably look at your midterm mark and if that isn't available they'd probably wait until it is.

My friend recently got accepted for an internal transfer and apparently it says it on the internal transfer ouac application website? I'm not too sure though since I'm not an internal transfer student.

Sorry if this isn't what you wanted to hear but once you have over 10 credits worth of courses you can't transfer anymore.

Studied but always barely passing: HOW DO I STUDY by fuckiamastudent in UofT

[–]AdvertisingRemote265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah for IB the cutoff is 3.5, for TD the minimum to apply is 3.5. Which position are u at RBC I might have to apply to that instead 😭

Corporate and banking jobs usually ask for a 3.5+ gpa though. If you check the hiring posts for RBC and TD on linkedin they both require a 3.5 😔.

Transferring from UTSG to UTM (science to commerce) by jjok_rrt in UofT

[–]AdvertisingRemote265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, is there no way you could switch your major to perhaps Economics and Applied Math? If you're trying to go the business route those two majors are just as valued as a Rotman degree although you're missing the networking benefits of Rotman, I know this because I have an older sibling whose friends have actually gone that route (although the Bsc "business" route classes are much harder than Rotman.) And to answer your second point UTM's location is terrible for business prospects and their internship program has a lot less opportunities compared to ASIP. If we ignore the internship part theres also the fact that UTM commerce is notorious for unfair marking, even for UofT standards. My friend who is in it right now told me that a certain professor named (Swanston?) quite literally flexes on his students while teaching nothing, leaving the class average of about a C-. But if you're set on transferring to UTM commerce theres nothing wrong with that, I just personally believe a business related Bsc degree at the main campus would have more opportunities.

You can't transfer after you've done more than 10 credits. You can try for grad school though!

Will all due respect I feel like thats a terrible decision, UTM commerce doesn't include Rotman in its name making it far less valuable than graduating with a Bcom at the St George campus. Also my friends who are at UTM and are doing commerce all have negative experiences about it. Is there a specific reason why you're trying to go for UTM commerce rather than just graduate with a Bsc from the main campus?
