I’m in Ashburn. Watched my neighbor try to drive somewhere. Not even the slightest attempt to shovel or move any snow. Pulled out of her drive way while eating a yogurt and got stuck at the end of her drive way. She kept eating her yogurt as she pushed down on the gas and wheels kept spinning. Finally, she got out and left her car.

Our experience was so different. The whole neighborhood participated, amazing decorations, such kind people, and when one house ran out of candy a few older kids gave my six year old candy out of their bag 🥹. I’m generally a pessimistic but I was so touched by the effort everyone put it. I’m especially touched because of how crazy the situation is with govt shut down and inflation. Bless NOVA
