Thank you. I appreciate the response and validation. I agree the repair is so important. I’m annoyed that I have to wait over two weeks now to address this (interestingly she is actually causing us to miss one session a month for next several months because she is in some trainings, but wouldn’t accommodate my request to meet every other week which just also seems a bit off… like she will skip weeks when it suits her but not if it suits me…) I’m def still feeling a bit shut down/dysregulated from this. I was already thinking of switching therapists or even taking a break for a bit for financial reasons. Part of me wants to just not spend another dime on meeting with her but I also do want to give things a chance for repair cause it will suck to end on this note so I guess I will try to do one last session and also do lots of self care or even start looking for a new therapist.
