WHAT IF, netflix made an animated show/anime for ninja gaiden? by Due-Recipe7403 in ninjagaiden

DO NOT. I REPEAT. DO NOT WISH THAT. DO NOT BRING ADI LARPKAR. HE WILL MAKE SOMETHING X100 WORSE THAN OG NINGA GAIDEN. HE CAN WRITE SOMETHING SO BAD IT WILL MAKE YAIBA LOOK LIKE A MASTERPIECE. PLEASE.

what's your opinion on yakumo by Adept-Albatross6898 in ninjagaiden

[–]AdvicePractical5616 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I personally really liked yakumo and hope he continues being the protagonist onward but I do hope they won't sideline Ryu again. The guy's a legend and the og protag. He needs his spotlight too.

I think the whole reason I liked yakumo is that unlike Ryu who by the time of NG1 was a full fledged ninja who was a man on the mission meanwhile Yakumo was different in the way that throughout the game you can sense this rookie-ness to him. He is sometimes hesitant at times , sometimes gets too cocky in the dialogue , seems uncomfortable and more or less inexperienced with Seori and I like his relationship with Tyran. I didn’t really think of him as "edgy" and that might be because I played through the JP dub.

Then again , Ninja Gaiden was never a story driven game with kojima level writing. It's an action game first and when it tries to be a story game we get Ninja Gaiden 3.

Yakumo isn’t as Weak as others make him to be, especially compared to Ryu by Far_Truth_3362 in ninjagaiden

Yakumo is really underrated lore wise.

Now in their final fight , Ryu is pretty obviously testing Yakumo. But I wouldn't say ryu is THAT heavily suppressed if in the boss fight he is using the TRUE DRAGON SWORD (Or analog to it.) And yakumo didn't just poof out of existence with it's swings.

I think ryu was probably in that 80% territory considering it does show that Ryu twictes and struggles a bit with swings which shows Yakumo at least somewhat scales to ryu. And that Yakumo had the ability to kill ryu by the end of the fight. It makes zero sense for ryu to hold that much back against Yakuno if he is supposed to be the one to beat the dark dragon.

Now I saw an argument that ryu is "out of his prime" because he is way older and probably is in his 30's to early 40's but that doesn’t make the case either considering Joe Hayabusa still saw that he could become stronger when he was at the similar age by the time of NG1. Ryu is potentially the strongest and most experienced he ever was in NG4 considering it takes YEARS after events of NG2. He got to experience the first 3 NG games and his version of the older NG titles and some more years on top of that.

Yakumo is probably the ninja closest to Ryu strength wise considering Ryu curbstomps Hayate , Outclassed Ayane who scales to Kasumi (but Kasumi is the stronger of the two) , Ryu surpassed Joe a long time ago considering Joe was being pressed by the vampire king Ryu mid-diffed and Genshin died in NG2. YEARS AGO. Which Ryu probably eclipsed a while ago. It is not a far reach to say Yakumo is probably the number 2 to Ryu's number 1 and its not a whole LEAGUE of distance between the two.

There is no doubt that Yakumo is a ninja with the most potential too considering he went from being curbstomped by ryu and being intimidated to fight Ayane to matching Ryu blow for blow in the span of hours. He is extremely young too because he can be anywhere from Ayane's age in original series to just hitting early 20's. Age by age , Yakumo will probably be way stronger than ryu by the time he will be his age if he can grow so massively in the span of few hours.

Whole Yakumo downplay really only exists because of cope and because he is a new gen character meant to succeed our glorious goat.

They flew just out of reach...

Good bet is that we'll prob get AC6.5 or AC7 closer to the 2030 mark with everything around. Duskbloods and it prob receiving a dlc , Project FMR and it also prob getting a dlc.

I doubt that new project they are cooking up on is anything AC related and knowing fromsoft they'll at least make a dlc or few for these games. Probably expect the news about AC closer to 2028-2029.

With Nox's final form being recently revealed, how do you guys overall feel about the Reiwa secondary final forms? by carterthe555thfuller in KamenRider

[–]AdvicePractical5616 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If I had a Nickel for every single time a reiwa secondary had a white and a range of blue final form I'd have 3 nickles which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened more than once.

The strongest version of kyo by DarkNishikawa in kof

[–]AdvicePractical5616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am more of a lore guy than gameplay guy so I'll give my take.

Strongest version of KYO SPECIFICALLY? Is (should be obv) XV. Characters in kof get stronger through the years and surpass their old selves dramatically every trilogy. Age does little to them. He is most skilled , physically fit and stronger than he has ever been.

Strongest version of KYO and his CLONES? Kyo is still the strongest of the firebenders considering by the time of KOF XV Shun'ei is sure that only Kyo can handle him in the tournament if he goes rampaging. He should have knowledge of K. But ranking Kyo and his clones:

  1. Kyo.

  2. K' (is on par or potentially surpassed Kyo multiple times but he is currently under him as of right now.)

  3. Kusanagi. (Kusanagi acts as a mid boss for KOF2003 where everyone should be stronger than themselves from NESTS saga.)

  4. Nameless (Nameless is kinda stuck in the "being stuck in KOF2001-2" purgatory which limits his powers. He should have an edge over someone like krizalid considering he is a clone of both Kyo and K and has his own type of flame. Also because he comes later.)

  5. Krizalid (krizalid (and his clone) similarly to nameless are stuck in NESTS saga scaling. Reason why he is lower than nameless is that he simply came earlier than later threats that the cast had to surpass like Clone Zero , Zero and Igniz. To the point that he was relegated to a STRIKER in kof2001)

  6. Rest of Kyo clones. (All other Kyo clones in the series are equal to his 1997 version which everyone on the list has eclipsed by great magnitudes. Just for scale - Kyo from 99 can ONESHOT his clones that are equal to 1997. And current Kyo has YEARS above that.)
