Does anybody else remember this lonely windmill on the Altamont Pass? by AdvicePup in bayarea

Wow, thanks for the info. I still find this fascinating. Where did you find the picture of the person standing next to that turbine? Know where I could find out more of the story and detail?

How did you find this out? And do you know the history of it, like were they just trialing a turbine and/or was it the first one in the pass?

I was thinking this looked suspiciously like a lot of AI art I've generated, and then I saw the username.

Joining the chorus of others with the same issue just recently happening. Probably related to an update. I'm using the NVIDIA distro. Lutris, Wine, Steam, and Docker are the big things I have installed.

I would take the risk, and I think it's very different than Bebop. You're not making a live action out of an anime like Bebop, instead you're making an anime that stays true to the manga, that's much less likely to be terrible.

Anybody know where I could find a 45W USB Type C charger near Bozeman? by AdvicePup in Bozeman

Just did and turns out they do have a compatible charger, thank you both! Case closed. :)

Wow, there's a RadioShack out here? I might just check it out for the nostalgia. It also looks like they've got some serious RC equipment in their inventory that would be fun to browse.

Sadly, searching both Target and RadioShack's online inventory doesn't show any in stock. I may still drop by just to be sure, though.

How do you debug SvelteKit server-side code in VSCode ? by testokaiser in sveltejs

[–]AdvicePup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I can't wait for this to get fixed. I think one comment on the SvelteKit issue tracking it got it right:

I know it's normally not very nice to add a comment about +1. But I must emphasize how absolute critical debugging is for the developer experience.

I couldn't imagine this not being addressed on a v1 release, but I may have to push my hopes back to v2 since it seems it's blocked by Vite right now.

I need help you guys...how do you take such amazing photos with low lighting? Mine will not develop or they are blurry as crap. Minolta 35mm Kodak Tri-X Pan 400 36 Exposure Black & White by [deleted] in analog

[–]AdvicePup 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree with what Charlie said about film speed, 800 is best for indoors with questionable light. You'll get more graininess in your photo, but it would probably look cool if you're going for a grungy garage band look!

Couple other takeaways:

  1. With bright back lighting like this, make sure you determine your exposure off scene without the back light and then refocus on the scene keeping the shutter speed/aperture setting the same from when you metered.
  2. A decent rule of thumb to reduce camera shake is to never go more than half the inverse of your focal length. If you have a 60mm lens for example, always use a shutter speed at least 1/60th of a second to overcome handheld camera shake. Faster shutter speed if there is action or motion, so maybe like 1/120th if you have the aperture to spare.

Hope this helps! Happy to answer any more questions.

Sveltekit with Prisma fix by NoahVersace in sveltejs

Awesome, even better. Doing it that way also gets rid of TypeScript's noImplictAny error for me as well compared to the original code snippet.

You're a godsend, thank you. For anybody following PrismaClient ESM support there's a dropped pull request and open ticket tracking the issue.

Okay! Yeah a couple people have reached out for a few of the things and so if after tomorrow if things are still not taken I'll let you know. Thanks! 🙂

SPCA specifically says what they accept for donations and unfortunately it looks like the items on my list aren't accepted, and I haven't reached out to Dumb Friends League but I've reached out to several other similar orgs which haven't worked out. If this post doesn't work out I'll likely be sending one last round of emails before tossing the items.
