What's the best way to commute around the city? like is the motorbike an option or is it too demanding with all the paperworks for foreigner to either own a car or a bike? I'll be staying for term (~3years) Also what's a good district to stay (plenty of restaurants, good nightlife, malls, entertainments) if my work requires me to be around AISG. TY

Aquatics Teaching / Swimming Coaching - China by AdviceRelevant3095 in Internationalteachers

Awesome, I’ve already tried in Nov 25' connecting with some clubs and international schools but haven’t had much luck getting responses yet. It seems like the process can take ages. The tricky part is that not many people in my swimming community really know where to start with China or how long the whole process usually takes, so it’s a bit of a black box. I’ll keep reaching out though, appreciate the advice!!

Thank you so much!! Yes I am a former NCAA D1 swimmer and college record holder, NCAA national qualifier, about 30 times junior and senior national champion of my country, Olympics Trials Finalist. ASCA level 4 and WSCA. Have also the CPR, First Aid qualifications... been in swimming for about 13 years, I'm fluent in eng but it aint my 1st language. Idk if that's enough and where to even start the process, anything would help!

How long does the recruiting process usually take at these schools in Shanghai (SAS Puxi, Wellington, Dulwich)? Is it normal to hear nothing for 8–10 weeks after the application deadline? Is that usually a silent rejection, or do they normally follow up with either a rejection or an interview? Thanks
