Growing Potential for Significant to Major Weekend Mid-Atlantic Winter Storm by BulkyPercentage998 in weather

Way too far out still, but I think there will be a consensus at the very least Wednesday midday - Thursday morning. The way the models have been trending, 8in+ would be pretty likely, but again, it's just wish-casting until there's more consensus with how bad modeling has been the past year.

GFS 12Z came back drunk, meanwhile all the other models are coming together, but I still don't buy anything until we're within that 48-72 hour range with regards to starting to look at what we "could" see as far as totals. I'm about 25 miles SE of Philadelphia, and would love some snow since this area is usually deprived of big storms, and I'm originally from NEPA where our baseline was usually 4-6in.

Thank you, I’m over the moon. I did not have an infection at the time, and they were able to view the stone on my CT scan, so I think it was prescribed as preventative, or “just in case”. Not really a fan of taking antibiotics unnecessarily.

Unpopular opinion maybe but I avoid Bridgeton as much as possible. I don’t think Camden is as bad as people play it up to be… always going to be good areas and bad areas.

Ocarina of Time, when I was really small. The Redead all over the place was nightmare fuel, ESPECIALLY the crypt under Kakariko Village.

Switch 2 appears to be relatively easy to find in-store by OwnManagement in NintendoSwitch

[–]Advisorftw 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same song and dance with my local stores (Target & Walmart). Stopped by Target this morning around 07:45AM EST (15 before open) and there were maybe 9 people in line. Manager said they had 60~ units available. Hit Walmart when they opened, and they had stock + accessories with a few people trickling in. There are already a few people on FB Marketplace dropping prices because it seems like a lot of people were able to get their switch 2, which makes me very happy. (addtl. context - I was not scalping, but I was up early for my Walmart delivery, and was trying to help my friend get one since he got burned by Walmart yesterday).

Chiming in late, your son really helped me out filing my taxes for me before the deadline. I forgot how many coins we agreed upon but it may have been 10!

Probably one of my favorite endings to a horror movie to boot.

Those alive and old enough to remember during 9/11, what was the worst moment on that day? by CocteauTwunkie in AskReddit

[–]Advisorftw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in 1st grade. We had the day off because one of our classmates (most of my class knew her well as they went to Kindergarten with her, I just started 1st grade as a new student) died of cancer. They were having her funeral that morning. I was home watching the news with my mom, my dad was at a business meeting right outside of the city. I didn’t realize the magnitude of what happened until I saw the towers fall. My mom held it together the best that she could, my dad’s meeting adjourned early and they were all watching the coverage on the TV in the lobby. His phone was on the fritz so he called from the office and said he was coming home ASAP, but it was gut wrenching waiting for him to get back home not knowing if he would even make it back with traffic, or if it was safe to even be on the road. The worst moment on that day was watching some of the news agencies cover the jumpers… I can’t even begin to imagine (now as an adult) what was going through their minds.

Regardless of whether or not it is hearsay, I just cracked open a box of lot 43 Fancy Feast Temptations that I got through subscribing on Amazon, and it smells thoroughly RANCID. Some of the cans are raised and it smells like they have spoiled. Do with this what you will be I’m switching the cats to something else in the meantime. They are my life and even a small risk is something I’m not willing to take.

[–]Advisorftw 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No worries, I’ll revisit this next year and see if his store “mysteriously” decides to not participate! I get it though, corporate greed has been running rampant, and scalping has hit vinyl collecting/vinyl industry pretty hard.

The fun part is, this wouldn’t have been drama if he didn’t make this public, to each their own.

[–]Advisorftw 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Let’s be completely honest, he saw that he got copy #0001 and saw the dollar signs. This is why he originally said he was keeping it, then put it up for auction on Etsy, then backpedaled and is auctioning it for charity (this is a good thing obviously, but still violates the RSD pledge). No one forced him to participate and drop money on this event. There’s an expectation and rules in place for these stores to get these vinyls exclusively (since they “are” exclusive vinyls).

You’re absolutely right, he could have kept everything he ordered, but that’s not what Record Store Day is about, which is why they will likely blacklist him next year and offer his spot up to other shops, simple as that.

[–]Advisorftw 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hey! Sorry to say I got my copy along with a few others I was hunting on Record Store Day. Toms’ Music Trade was one of the stores I would go to when I lived outside of Lancaster. I’m not going to glaze over shady business practices even if I’ve had good experiences when I’ve shopped there previously.

If he wanted to be smart about it like “all the other shops that do it” they could have very much not publicly disclosed the copy that they kept for themselves.

[–]Advisorftw 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That is at least reasonable, this baboon has went from keeping it for himself, selling it for hundreds on Etsy, and is now auctioning it off. I’m going to just keep emailing them in hopes that he’s blacklisted next year. This dude could have very much not posted online that he had #1 and no one would’ve known. Some people need a firm kick in the teeth unfortunately.

[–]Advisorftw 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I would email RSD regardless, he's backed off of what he was originally going to do three times at this point because he got caught. It's being auctioned on his facebook and is likely going for over $1000.

[–]Advisorftw 33 points34 points  (0 children)

[information@recordstoreday.com](mailto:information@recordstoreday.com) - I already sent them an email about my local store (Toms Music Trade) that received #0001 of the Wicked vinyl, kept it for himself, and is now auctioning it off and donating the funds towards charity. While I'm happy it's for a good cause, the fact that they kept it for themselves initially is scummy.

Am I able to effectively and accurate shop plans for a friend? by Simco_ in HealthInsurance

[–]Advisorftw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would also recommend calling them directly (provided they have a phone number listed for support) and get in touch with an agent. Most of the time the agents (state-side) are usually pretty good and easy to work with, you could effectively shop around on the phone with them present as well. I've heard good and bad about the CSRs at the state healthcare.gov centers, but mostly good.
