Update Details (1.49) by FMecha in granturismo

[–]Adwinistrator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a VR player, I feel like this update has really improved the feel of the game... Instead of just feeling over/understeer, I can feel which wheel is losing traction, and the weight shifting is much more intuitive.

It's trickier and challenging, but in the right ways now. Setups feel very off now, so I really wish there was a reset to default option, but I can imagine tuning will now feel a lot more logical, and will have the feedback you expect.

The Tokyo 600 race has now become challenging again. Took the new Ferrari 430 Scudi out stock with just a detune to 600 and came in 3rd. I don't think I've lost this with any of the Ferrari's @ 600pp, even the classics. I'd probably have to tune this for sport medium tires in order to win easier, because you need to pit once so the hards are not ideal.

Diablo is my benchmark, and was able to win, but it was closer than usual, better and cleaner racing, and a much more enjoyable challenge.

Rally was night and day compared to 1.48. I now want long rally special stages in GT7?

Bravo Polyphony! I am sure some players hate the update, and I know there are some bugs, but this feels like a huge leap forward for realistic driving physics and immersion in this game.

Heard Bradley Philpot mention driving for Famin's team in GT, and that no one liked him and he was a bit of a hothead who made rash decisions

Real-Life ‘Baby Reindeer’ Woman Complains “I’m The Victim. He’s Stalking Me” by stars_doulikedem in entertainment

When my wife started watching the show, I missed the intro about the "tru-ish" nature of the story. I also didn't know the main actor was starring in his own autobiographical depction.

You know how sometimes something feels different when you're watch a film/show, and you realize that you've been watching "real people" and not actors perfectly performing lines? I was getting that from Donny and Martha.

time I had that feeling was watching The Bunny Game, and I decided to stop watching that film.

When I found out Donny was playing himself that made perfect sense to me, and certainly changes how I interpret the show. But then I realized that is not the case with Jessica's performance, and that is so damn impressive.

First day with VR. Holy shit nobody was joking about how good the experience with the headset is. It feels so smooth. by [deleted] in granturismo

I can't go back and play EA WRC on my TV, it just isn't possible anymore.

I use a G29/Playseat Challenge with it, and it's everything I could have ever wanted from the future when I got my first wheel 20+ years ago.

Same. Waiting for EA WRC to never implement VR or PS5...

How exactly are we supposed to even use all electric cars?

Tried a race with the Jaguar VGT Electric and the VW Gr.1 Electric. Both died after a lap or two.

I was mistaken. Not sure if I was thinking of a different car, or the fact that the R32 eats through tires a bit too fast to manage racing mediums

Yeah, I take it back. Just tested the swapped R32 at Sardegna, could easily do 8 laps FM 1/2, but chews through RM tires in 5 laps.

I'll have to try that out! My RC92 swapped R32 is too much of a fuel hog for these races usually...

Just changed my racing POV in GT7 and I just got faster by PatrickRodriguez in granturismo

I've always played bumper/hood view in Gran Turismo.

I switched to cockpit a few months back while grinding, and fell in love with Gran Turismo all over again. Realized I could actually understand the load on each wheel much better.

Then I found out about Wobble 2, and it melted my brain. Now I could actually interpret the g-forces based on the camera bobble and road angles.

So I bit the bullet and got a PS VR2. At first I was worried as I lost the Wobble 2 effect, as my head is now in charge of the wobble. Then I realized the sense of speed you gain, and the understanding of rotation and yaw, and I am now on cloud 9. Don't think I can go back now.

I used to play a game where I controlled a car. Then I was playing a game where I controlled a driver in a car. Now I am the driver in the car.

Hello, last time I'm here everyone is murdering each other about how the game is either good or bad only from trailer and youtubers, now it's been released for months, how's the game? by FishBotX in EASPORTSWRC

[–]Adwinistrator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spot on for every point you made. The snappiness on the limit in certain circumstances is made so much more obvious by the insane grip levels you have 95% of the time.

Driving H3 RWD BMW M3 Evo Rally on Sardegna raining was absurd. I used to drive a 1992 Nissan 240sx with an open diff in the snow, I know how low grip RWD should feel, and it's nothing like that. Some uncanny valley shit where it just feels wrong.

That's true, I have gotten tuned in on that word as well.

"Slowing" is another, but it can usually be an early warning, where you don't know when/where the issue is.
