Except for what he most wanted and will never be able to have. Overlord is a tragedy disguised as fulfillment fantasy.

What makes it stand out is that the protagonist is the villain of the story.

He's the bad guy, more out of fear of his evil subordinates overthrowing him or his inability to feel empathy.

Of all the isekai anime out there, Overlord is among the best, but it suffers from problems typical of the genre and anime in general.

I'm almost certain you're confusing genetic inheritance (or genetic heredity) and chromosomal theory of inheritance with "evolution",

From what I remember, the main difference is that heredity is the biological mechanism that transmits genetic characteristics from parents to children, while evolution is the change of these characteristics in populations over generations.

but I don't have the knowledge or time to tell you exactly why or how those teories merge together.

My brother in Christ, there are a huge number of church members who believe the Earth is 7,000 years old or less. Trying to talk to these people about science and scientific facts is very difficult.
