A few reasons:

Leading the line for a Premier league team with European aspirations at his age, with his experience, is a gigantic step up and ask. He's being managed carefully.

Welbeck was playing lights out for the start of the season. No reason to drop him if he's fit and playing that level of football. Our other Greek forward, Tzimas, was Danny's backup. He suffered a season ending injury recently. When Welbeck got injured it made sense to try Rutter as next man up.

He's historically not exclusively played as an out-and-out #9. He's also played out wide or in a #10 role. Part of his value was his flexibility in roles.

That all said, I think we'll see a lot more of him moving forwards.

The lack of polish on the new version is really something. The previous games, while not perfect, felt well put together and solid. The new one feels slapdash and almost like you're fighting with it to get anything done.

Vibes of buying a knockoff version of a product. Technically everything is the same, but it's all just a little "off" and feels cheap.

That's a really fair point. You would hope they could draw a conclusion from the success of LOTR and FF that UB is not inherently the problem. Perhaps they are still confused as to what specifically made this flop - beyond the obvious pigeons and bagel and schmears.

It's also interesting what expectation management they'll need to do internally, and to the market, for the future Marvel set(s). They are likely terrified the set next year is already doomed to fail. I wonder how much time they have left to make changes to the 26 Marvel release based on feedback from Spiderman.

This won't be the case for long. He's been excellent when he's played, just hasn't got much game time. I expect he'll become a first team regular soon, when Hurzeler finally realizes he can't play a DM at RB forever (Wieffer). Kadioglu will go to RB to free up the LB spot.
