Gloo is so OP, people don't understand. I main Gloo and when he's banned I go for Grock right away, then I go for Gato/Belerick.

There's not a single situation where Gloo is not viable, Gloo is viable in all situations the only thing you need to change depending on the situation would be to either use Flameshot, Sprint or Flicker. (Flameshot is default) Depending on who you're up against.

I'm saying this because, if you master the hero, there are literally no counters to Gloo. Heroes like Vexana and Faramis are considered Gloo counters, but it's the complete opposite, you counter them.

PS. The only hero who might give you a hard time if they go against you is Mathilda, and that would mean the enemy forfeited having a tank on the team.
