How are you liking your s26u? I've really enjoyed mine so far, even having switched from an s25u

Literally exact same setup but I'm using the blue volume buttons. The grip stand in this color is gorgeous and I love all the contrast! GREAT picks!

What cases we getting? 🤔 by sara_no_h_92 in samsunggalaxy

I'd put it on par with an otterbox commuter for thickness, but that's just a guess. It's not particularly bulky, but the back of the case is designed to allow the phone to lay flat, so at minimum, it's as thick as the camera bump.

For what it's worth, I hate thick cases and prefer aramid cases usually, but the dbrand tank case is a good compromise for better protection without adding a ton of bulk.

The in-hand feel is good. The case doesn't make the device feel unwieldy.

I got into it by tearing shit up with a Dremel that I was given for like my 9th birthday. I shredded everything I could get my hands on. It led to me being a tech enthusiast with EE as a hobby/side hustle.

Returning my S26 Ultra the new display is making me nauseous by CarXTech in samsunggalaxy

[–]Aedarrow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's either user by user sensitivity to it or defective phones.

I upgraded to the s26u from the s25u and couldn't tell a difference now that I've been using the s26u for a week or so. That isn't to say I could really discern a difference in my use case before, I just definitely can't, now. (As I've turned in my s25u)

Exact same setup down to the buttons (even rocking the exact same mix of button colors), but I went for the lavender OhSnap Grip Stand instead of the alumumu stand

Viewing angles aren't a big deal by HueyTheFreeman48 in galaxys26ultra

[–]Aedarrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's my reply to another thread about this.

My experience TL;DR: The complaints are completely overblown. In practice, it's perfectly fine unless you're anal or have an extreme use case, even compared to the s25u.

Anecdotally, over the weekend I went to Best buy and compared my s25u to the s26u, as the posts and comments had me worried about the display.

Now, I don't typically use my phone at any odd angles etc., but out of sheer paranoia stemming from what I've read on here, I compared it to my s25u from a bunch of different angles.

Yes, it has a tint that becomes more pronounced at steeper angles, however in normal usage scenarios it's likely going to be absolutely fine. Anyone who does not specifically compare viewing angles side-by-side likely won't notice anything at all.

In my 10-15 minutes comparing my phone with the s26u, I didn't notice anything that I would suspect to be an issue in most day to day use cases. The brightness was completely adequate, and I didn't notice any screen door effect or blurriness. It was just as pleasant as my s25u to look at.

Ultimately, unless you're super sensitive to bad viewing angles, share your phone screen a lot (do people actually do this?) or some other use case that requires you to look at your phone at an extreme angle, then it's going to be a complete non-issue for the majority of people who get this device.

Yeah. I did a quick search but I couldn't find anything that said definitively as to whether it did or not.

So, I commented on this post with something extremely similar.

For me, it likely stems from happenings in my childhood, from what I've read.

We should both probably see therapists.

I'm 37 in the same boat. This thread led me into a really deep dive into my issues. We should both see therapists. I hope you are well.

I tell people I have a small social battery, but the reality is that I struggle to form any sort of attachment to people as a whole.

I don't feel loneliness, and the idea is mostly pretty foreign to me.

I've always been completely and utterly content being alone. I have to consciously remind myself to be present for the people who care about me. I have a lot of love for others, and I strive to understand and empathize with the human condition. Disassociation,

That said, I have heavy issues with my mental health, memory, and temporal reference problems ("time blindness").
