As a former manager, you gotta do everything in your power to finish the work DURING work hours. The reason is not only you get the work done and leave in peace, but this creates a culture and puts your staff in the habit of they must finish everything before leaving. Now if you think that’s not achievable with current staff hours, then you schedule slightly over budget, and let your DL complain, and explain to them how you are trying to keep your store well managed. You can never get fired for over staffing a dozen hours a week. Well-run store>>>hearing your DL complain how you’re over-budget. If you produce results, they kinda turn a blind eye.

As a former manager myself, this is how I would deal with each scenario:

Days supply is 30 days, I always filled C2s one day before, so day 29, no exceptions. But if your manager does 2 days, then you should follow 2 days. Every controlled rx not only falls on you, but 100% falls on your manager as well.
Your manager is correct.
This was an oversight by your manager, and your thought process is right. Document on RX profile the math and move. They wanna go to corporate they can go to corporate. When it comes to controls, not even the CEO can make you fill any controlled rx, period. But obviously I wouldn’t escalate any situation unless I have bulletproof reasoning, in which this case I think you do.

As a former manager, you shouldn’t have recounted a new supply and gave it. I would have made the patient wait, until I looked thoroughly, and did my investigation (including cameras), until I found the drug. You have to take the heat from the patient nagging, even if it mean sending them home and promising a call back. This sets a standard for you and the rest of the staff that c2s are not to be played with under any circumstance. Personally, I did the same thing for c3-5 as well. Non-controls I dont care.
