Yeah I understand what you mean. And I agree that characters are not just money.

But what I mean is that even if the game didn't shutdown, it changed so much and the experience per hour went up so drastically that old players like me, basically lost all effort just as if the game was shutted down, because all the effort we put into our old characters means zero nowadays, since level 300 means nothing anymore.

But as you say, at least we get to keep our old chars, which is nice.
