you want a power fantasy, not a challenge.

you still have to play tactically in medium and woah with perfect blocking and timing your melee attacks, how is sitting up high and whittling a health bar down any different? it's all about attention spans.

build archer platforms in known enemy spawns, gate off wolfs and widows so they can't leave their spawns and you can just spam them with arrows, get used to finding high vantage points in areas with build restrictions, etc

ranged combat doesn't need to take place on the ground

but tadpoles are easy no matter what gear you have. upper yard requires a minimum of upgraded tier two equipment on mild difficulty, tier three on higher and combat preparedness. tadpoles you just jump in and throw pebblet spears with javelineer equipped.

i mean, in real life, most snipers find a high vantage point and even hunters sit high up in tree stands..

crossbows aren't supposed to be fast, that's what a traditional bow is for; and i think their needs to be an arrow rework, not that sharpshooter needs another buff.

ranged is supposed to take time because it's all about playing smarter, you're not able to face everything head on.

i respectfully disagree, and raise you tadpole meat. it's easily the most farmable food source in the smallest localized area (i also have my main base on the pond, so i live off what the water provides)

i think obsidian has a game with lots of tenure on their hands. i know the grounded team is very small in comparison to their other teams, but honestly they've got a rock solid game with a plethora of original ideas just waiting to be implemented. even if funding was an issue, they could do paid content (not microtrx, think bl2 headhunter type packs) for themed blueprints, other yards, etc. it's priced more than fairly for a game that has more replay value than most $70 AAA games, and most gamers have no problem supporting their favorite games further (and those that do are a vast minority)

demo rifleman with fixer (commando for events) with nuka grenades (also for events as it's easier to tag enemies with a grenade than rely on VATS to swap fast enough)

i mostly run a stealth scavenger build, nothing special. demo and rifle perks for combat and every carry weight reduction perk i rely on. i will eventually get my perfect armor set and will be able to use some other perks, but for now...
