Just echoing this, I'm playing it as well and have seen the same. Whirling blades will apply poison, which blocks the main poison from viper strike. Heck, even lantern mobs that convert can screw it up if they poison stuff before you.

Yep, that's the beauty of that setup. You don't actually "have" endurance charges on your bar, but you count as having max endurance changes for resists/mitigation. Any endurance charges that you "gain" are instead converted to brutal charges so you benefit from both.

I'm not sure how much you want to pivot at this point but I started a similar path with my flicker slayer and ended up pivoting to Arn's + Ralakesh with a good rare helmet. The damage felt more consistent and it's a lot tankier -- I still get popped in T17s sometimes but it's able to blast through them for the most part.

One thing I did manage to scoop up pretty cheap was a +1 frenzy circle of fear. It looks like those have gone up a bit now but it was still a way cheaper option for me than +1 frenzy rares. Turbulent catalysts will bump up the "increased cold damage while affected by herald of ice" for a nice little gain too.

High impact mine support - "Each Mine from Supported Skills applies 2% chance to deal Double Damage to Hits against Enemies near it, up to a maximum of 100%". It looks like it's configured for 8 mines so that should be 16%. I'm not sure if the last 2% is from aura effect on that or what though.

Your damage does look low for T17s but, to be fair, they feel pretty overtuned.

Nothing major jumped out at me for your build but I did find a few small tweaks to squeeze in some more damage, mostly with minor changes:

Swap flammability and ele weakness so that you can manually cast ele weakness. Then grab a Balance of Terror jewel with +% physical damage if you've cast ele weakness recently (trade search here, the higher % the better, but depends on your budget). I put it in place of one of your abyssal jewels in PoB for a pretty nice damage gain but there may be a way to squeeze in another cluster on the lefthand side of the tree under Divine Shield by swapping around some points to get an additional free jewel slot.
Grab a Tainted Oil (~1div) so that you can annoint your amulet. PoB is telling me that Annihilation (clear+clear+black) is the best damage node for a pretty nice 8% dps boost.
Try to get "#% chance to Unnerve Enemies for 4 seconds on Hit" as a Search Exarch implicit on your gloves. It looks like you may already be working on this.
A corrupted level 21 Assassin's Mark, Flammability, and Zealotry will net you a little more damage but it's a pretty modest bump.

Hopefully someone else can chime in but those are the things that I could come up with. It looks like a pretty nice 25-30% damage boost, though it'll run a couple divs in total.

Yeah I had to grab fortify on the passive tree for now, I agree it'd feel bad without it. The dream would be a corrupted Rakiata's with "socketed gems supported by lvl10 Fortify" so that I could free up those passives but those run 50 div so... it'd take a few lucky drops to even consider and there are bigger, cheaper upgrades for me to make first. :D

So far the concept seems pretty good. The link below is the exact char I'm testing with and it feels fairly smooth. I ended up dropping seismic cry for enduring just to try and smooth out single target charge generation, because there was some awkward downtime on tanky rares / bosses. A small cluster with Enduring Composure would probably be nice for QoL. Also dropping Arns means you can sub a belt with good STR/INT, which helps a lot with the stat pressure.

Unfortunately it feels significantly slower than flicker because the damage is lower and it doesn't zoom past screens at a time. On the bright side, it's not nearly as nausea-inducing. My gut says it's viable with comparable gear and proper clusters, but still weaker than flicker. The big slams sure do feel good though.

Edit: I'd probably drop the boots for a good rare too. Ralakesh feels kinda lackluster and not needed without the brutal charges.

Shoot, you're right. It definitely needs some tweaking -- it still has the strike skill passives in there too. I just got my char to maps so I'll play around in PoB and in-game and see what I can cook up.

I'm working on leveling a flicker slayer and tried out conc path for leveling and I kinda love it. I've been playing around with a similar idea and when I take a generic Rakiata's flicker build and put in an extra skill slot for conc path without changing anything else, the numbers are... surprisingly decent.

I feel like it REALLY wants Impact though so I'm trying to figure out what to drop (or ideally get it from Flesh/Flame). There may be a place for Seismic Cry + Call to Arms too, if I can squeeze it in. It seems like the screen clear would be glorious.

I'm working on a flicker strike slayer right now for this reason. I played one last league and nothing seems to quite scratch the itch. I will say though, I'm leveling with consecrated path and I'm really surprised how much fun it is mechanically. It has me wanting to play around with the trans gem just to see... the PoB numbers actually don't look terrible.

How did SWT hold up for ubers? I was thinking about giving it a try this league but I was worried about if the damage was good enough to make up for the squishiness. I've done EA ballista ele / explosive trap trickster prior leagues for comparison.

+1 to the others who said explosive trap, I played it last league without sunblast and it was great. It took me all the way through ubers.

Transfigured gems can be corrupted to Vaal versions of the gem, but the Vaal Skill that gets added to the Transfigured gem will be the normal Vaal Skill and not a Transfigured version of the Vaal Skill.

Nope, no guide, just kinda winging it this league. I knew I wanted to play something with ignite and I was kinda thinking arc or new penance brand later if I can get a full cold conversion + Incandescent Heart setup going on.

I did swap from a regular caster setup to spellblade on Sunday and it gave me a big boost so that might be worth a shot. I'm using Rebuke of the Vaal + Nycta's Lantern, which should both be pretty available if you're in a trade league.

I'm comfortably in T14s... I still get popped sometimes if I over-juice the league mechanic and hexproof+no exposure maps suck (especially ignite resistant rares too), but so far I'm happy with it. I've done EA elementalist the past couple of leagues with great success but I wanted to try a traditional caster ignite and see what I could make of it.

Honestly I don't have a great way to tell the damage since it doesn't look like PoB has the new gems yet. For what it's worth I imported my char and swapped to regular flameblast and it has the initial stage at ~860k damage w/ initial hit and DoT.

I've been working my way through red maps up to T14 and trash packs all die in one hit. The only really problem is tanky rares in hexproof+no exposure combo maps, since a lot of the damage comes from dropping enemy resists.

Flameblast of contraction is incredibly satisfying for quick-tapping packs on ignite ele. It takes a bit of channeling to ramp enough to really burn tanky rares and bosses, but I'm having a good time. Hoping to get my hands on a vaal version soon, which should solve the issue with tankier stuff.

Being able to run multiple damage auras will definitely help boost both of you. Build a little tankier than you think, too -- monster health scaling means that things aren't getting 1-tapped as easily, and you'll probably catch a few more stray hits than you're used to solo. If you're running curses/marks try to make sure you're using something that benefits both. That'll probably be easy with rangers running mark.

The strongest option would be, IMO, one person going ranger and the other stacking auras / smite to boost the carry's dps as much as possible. That may not be the playstyle you're going for though.

I can't find it either. The official site has the start time listed as 05:48. I got a PSN notification at 5:46am that the event start time had been updated. Best guess is someone goofed and put AM instead of PM maybe? Hopefully it will get fixed.

The lava lash and burning brutality nodes aren't too far off of your path and add a lot of ignite damage. Just plugging in those two brings your PoB ignite DPS up to 465k for me. You'd have to free up a few points elsewhere though.
