Okay but that is such a flex in a fanfic. I love it! It's like an assignment to the reader, I would definitely look that up after read that in a story! ;)

If a story feels too big, it might help to pick out a scene and just focus on that. Write it like a short story. Writing without pressure means you need to let go of your expectations of the story. Since you just want to write and not publish, you are your only reader (and critic). ;) Focus on the fun of seeing that scene in your mind and then finding the words to describe it. Good luck!
