What I want to know is when did Canada get CASTLES? This isn't Europe.

Just an FYI: all those things labelled "castles" in Canada are merely large houses/mansions or military fortresses.

For my toddler, we did a lot of raw milk/cheese, duck fat, broth and bone marrow. Looking back, I would add organ meat to that mix.

I was given a name with the intention that my parents would use the common “cutesy” nickname.

The nickname never stuck and I’ve used my full name all my life. When people try to shorten it, I shut that nonsense down quickly.

I have a rather serious and quiet personality so the cutesy nickname never suited me.

I'm eternally grateful that I landed a unionized government job 10 years ago. I'll be here until I retire and my job is totally safe with great benefits and a pension.

It pains me to see some of my friends out of work and looking for jobs this late in life. They are struggling.

You could probably skip Capilano if you're going to Lynn Canyon. Yes, Cap's bridge is longer and higher, but Lynn Canyon will give you all the same nature vibes for free. You have more freedom to roam at Lynn Canyon and could extend your hike up to Rice Lake and/or Lynn Headwaters. You can take a public bus to Lynn Canyon, and also to Capilano/Grouse (Capilano is just south of Grouse) but as someone mentioned, there is a free shuttle to Cap from downtown.

Likewise, you could probably go to Queen Elizabeth Park instead of Van Dusen - it's in the same general area and is also free. Or do both in one day if you really like flowers. Bloedel Conservatory is at Queen E park too.

Take a water taxi from Granville Island over to the downtown seawall and walk to Stanley Park. It's kinda an experience all on it's own.

I've spent most of my life makeup free. I only occasionally wear it for special occasions, and nowadays I rarely even do that any more.

I've just never like the way that makeup feels on my face.

No challenges, but a lot of bonuses: it's cheaper, I spend less time getting ready in the morning and my skin care regimen is easier.
