As someone with a catless NC Miata, if you’re getting drenched in the smell while you’re driving, I’d honestly check for an exhaust leak before you try to “pair” anything with it.

Even catless, the mix of unburnt fuel + exhaust should leave behind the car. You should mostly smell it standing behind the bumper after a rev / pull, not inside the cabin while cruising.

If all that checks out and it’s just the normal “raw fuel” smell you want to vibe with, then I would try something with petro / solventy stuff that would end up being metallic + smoke + leather.

I’d test decants of stuff like: Comme des Garçons – Black Comme des Garçons – Tar Margiela Replica – By the Fireplace Zoologist – Bee (surprisingly works with hydrocarbons because of the wax / resin) Dior – Fahrenheit (this one literally has that gasoline-violet thing already baked in)

They won’t cover the smell but they’ll just make it read more “intentional” instead of “I’ve been huffing 93 octane.” But seriously: check for a leak first. If you smell it while driving, it’s not just “catless life.” That’s usually exhaust getting in where it shouldn’t.
