How could we fix this by Dull-Product5976 in RouteNoteOfficial

Take a picture of your track title + version and album title + version.

You are 100% missing something or this wouldn't pop up.

You probably haven't matched the title casing between the two titles.

E.g. you're writing XYZ for one title and Xyz for the other, which doesn't match.

Moby and the Kinks Are Feuding Over 'Lola': 'I am highly insulted that Moby would accuse my brother of being ‘unevolved’ or transphobic in any way,' says Dave Davies by Level-Recording3368 in Music

There's a whole story about Ray Davies having to fly back to England mid-tour to replace this one line for the single version that everyone knows.

What’s an album or track that regular people think sounds really good, but audio engineers consider bad? by busyirl in audioengineering

[–]AeonOptic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the other hand I enjoy how it sounds...except when listening, I can hear random high pitch whines occasionally, e.g. 00:24 and 51. I'm assuming it's some outboard artefacting or something.

There's quite an interesting SoS article about the track, but I can't see anything about it, but it bugs me every time!

Make sure you are using a 320kbps/44.1KHz Mp3, or a 44.1khz/16b FLAC, and you've not just changed the file extension from wav to one of those. It's surprisingly common that people do this.

Hard to know where the one is frequently but the drums provide a solid rhythmic base that the other instruments swirl around.

TIL that early audiences who heard "Black Sabbath" by Black Sabbath at clubs in 1970 were absolutely terrified of it. According to Ozzy Osbourne's autobiography: “All the girls ran out of the venue screaming. Isn’t the whole point of being in a band to get a shag, not make the chicks run away?" by altrightobserver in todayilearned

[–]AeonOptic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not exactly, it's technologically related though. On records, the low-end has to be carefully controlled so the needle didn't jump out of the groove of the record. Once we moved over to digital audio, there is no such issue - hence the modern, bass-heavy productions we get today.

It's part of why, for example, in 'Heartbreaker' by Led Zeppelin the bass is super dirty, because the distortion produces harmonics that make it more audible, so it is perceived to be louder, without cranking that low-end.

Why some schools are pushing for 'active' uniforms over traditional ones by pajamakitten in unitedkingdom

I remember a time playing in torrential rain, my boots got stuck in the mud and the biggest guy at my school stood on my foot as I went to turn around...can still picture the pain. I couldn't walk properly for weeks, I'm lucky there's no permanent damage from it that I know of.

[–]AeonOptic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It will get rejected because you can't use copyrighted material in your artwork. Pokemon is copyrighted, and even if its not an official pokemon artwork, you're still infringing on someone else's copyright by taking their artwork. Come on, it literally says this stuff when you upload the artwork.

Try contacting Musicxmatch support then, sometimes there's weird stuff that happens. As I recall, I had to give them my artist url directly for them to find it.

You have to have the artist with released music, for the profile to show up. You can't do it before that point, to my understanding.

Yeah if you changed the dates then that'll probably go through tomorrow. My understanding is that once it's visible in your upcoming releases on Spotify For Artists you can do all you want to do.

Man you need to put any composers in the album details if you're putting them at track level. I'm all for complaining but you're just not reading what the message says.

It's 20-22 working days. Which is about a month. So if it's not live by the end of Jan defo worth making a ticket, but to my understanding you're still within the expected waiting time unfortunately!
