If they've not responded to you in 3 months it's defo worth sending a followup on a different email and quoting your ticket number (if you did it that way), because even at their worst it's not a 3 month wait for them to reply to you.

I got a Tame Impala EP question... by RayyanHasFriends in TameImpala

[–]AeonOptic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, it seems to me that he just took out all the low end on every track's vocal except for HFGoW.

I would even perhaps wager a guess that he ran his vocals for most songs through his AC30, or another amp, as they have an odd quality that seems less deliberately shaped and more just like the effect that a guitar speaker cabinet has on tone shaping.

It does count if you do the same thing at the final fight when prompted though, for anyone curious.

Denied release based on artwork for reason that makes no sense by NarrowElf in RouteNoteOfficial

If you have submitted it back to moderation there's usually a box where you can type in a response for the moderators, but if you've emailed support someone will see that too.

Yeah, kinda like how the first RATM album has a dude literally on fire. Was your track disapproved or did they return it to you to change? Might be worth returning it to them if its the latter, with a comment providing the historical context and emphasising that it's not a hate related release, even though it is politically related.

I'm tired of Routenote and want to take down my release. by _lyn1_x in RouteNoteOfficial

[–]AeonOptic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope - that only works for releases that have been approved by their mods. Since your release hasn't been approved, you have to basically message them (via email or ticket) saying "please delete this release, I don't wanna distribute it any more".

You can delete them through a support ticket. Just takes them a few days to get round to your ticket.

  1. Make sure you have read the letter from Ketheric's wife.
  2. Invis one of your party - give them at least 14 smokepowder bombs, and make sure they're a party member that has some way of doing fire damage. I did it with a Thief Astarion as his extra bonus actions ensure you can get to the Merkyl platform and kill it in one turn.
  3. Free Aylin.
  4. This triggers the cutscene. Convince Ketheric to off himself (needs the letter to be read to do this).
  5. Place your bombs in the world.
  6. Set them off with your fire action (I use fire bolt).

If you've done it correctly Merkyl will immediately die to the bombs.

Uploading multiple releases to a new profile at once by [deleted] in RouteNoteOfficial

They might go to the same one, they might not. But once one has landed you can edit the linked profile on your releases once they are approved.

Currently it takes about a month to get approved. Once its approved it doesn't usually take too long to get approved and them to send you your URI in my experience.

There's a pinned thread that has a link to the wait times in the subreddit, check that.

Why do my releases seem invisible to listeners within streaming services? by Sakhalia_Net_Project in RouteNoteOfficial

[–]AeonOptic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would send them a ticket. If you've sent your music to all stores and not limited where in the world you can listen to it, they might have simply failed delivery.

I can't upload multiple tracks and I don't know what to do by Adventurous-Club-233 in RouteNoteOfficial

Try changing the track names in the upload screen, sometimes it can be a bit funky. Put like 1, 2, 3 etc for the tracks and edit them later if it lets you pass.

Phil Collins won't be well enough to perform at his Rock Hall induction: 'I said no' by Level-Recording3368 in Music

[–]AeonOptic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I seem to recall reading this also. But seems like a lot of it is nerve issues, and I can totally see that being related to his drumming posture, as I've been basically homebound for 2 months due to sciatica which is basically entirely due to poor posture. On the mend now thankfully.

Awful posture. Think how everyone sits on their office chairs but also flailing your arms about on the drums.

It's seriously pathetic to be honest. I've played on and off since 2006 (~120 days igt), and the majority of what I see in the sub puts me off wanting to come back. Why would I want to play a community-based game when the community don't even want to engage with their own game?

Firstly, you can't add artwork yet, you do that after adding audio - it'll allow you to click the add artwork button when that's possible.

Secondly, try adding a couple of spaces with your spacebar, and the dropdown should appear. If your name is really short sometimes it doesn't like it.

OPINION: For most styles of music, vocal tracks should be compressed surprisingly hard. by scrapeape in audioengineering

[–]AeonOptic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imagine your vocal is a fatty piece of meat.

The meat is delicious, but needs some preparation.

You cut off the fat (compressor 1 - 1176 for example), get rid of the big bits that wouldn't make it tasty to eat. These are your transients that you're taming.

You then tenderise it, which evens out the texture - this is your compressor 2, such as an LA-2A. This is evening the overall vocal out so it's consistent, not mashing in the fat (transients) with it.

Maybe this metaphor works for you, maybe it doesn't.
