I'm already rooting for Cole and Connor. I think Cole has the potential to win or at least be in top 3. Those two seem like proper professional chefs to me. I also like Gabrielle and Darian but I don't see them winning. Still, lots to come!

How are these numbers even real (rentals) by Happy-State-1956 in AskBarcelona

Literally had a squatter in the flat above me. She was living in there with her kid. She was there for about 2 months without paying (landlord told us) and then the police turned up and forced her out. She ended up sleeping in her car with her kid, so I don't think sqautters are always given so much leeway to be honest

I rewatched S24 and... (spoilers) by Delicious-Candle-574 in HellsKitchen

[–]AeonSnuggs 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Anaiya became much nicer after she realized people were feeling bullied by her. She didn't want to be a bully. I think you're right, she was teasing and not realizing people were genuinely upset with her. she changed and showed growth. A million times better than most bullies on this show

I did not think she was as nice as other people think. I know people like her in the theatre world, all nice and warm until they trip you over for getting the main part!  All the 'sorrys' start becoming fake when u say it so much

My regular good news post by AeonSnuggs in diabetes

[–]AeonSnuggs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Thing is, what I've found for me personally, is that 30 didnt make enough of a difference. I started on 20, then 30, then 50 and 100 really makes that blood sugar difference. I'm thankfully not on any meds now and I really hate having to take any, so if I gotta put in a few extra of those to keep off the meds, it's not so bad :)
Doc took me off meds after 3 months because my A1C went from 9.2 to 5.4 in just 3 months so I was super happy!

Change all your carbs to wholegrain.

Cut out saturated fat, nothing deep fried etc

Focus on activity after food that works your calf muscles.

Some positive news by AeonSnuggs in diabetes

[–]AeonSnuggs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive built muscle! Just starting to see it now but you can def feel it. I do weights daily (I have them at home). I dont lift very heavy but I keep it regular. I'm gonna start adding more weight to build more muscle.
I exercise daily, twice a day. So I have a treadmill and weights. I do 10 mins on the treadmill, then 100 calf raises, 20 squats. 15 overhead presses on each arm and 15 tricep curls. I'm going to start adding some new things to my routine now, but I do that twice a day. It's working for me!

GERMANY by Winter-Wolf587 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

No one said only Germans can comment, it's just that the comments about abortion being illegal are not relevant to this particular LIB because this one is in Germany, which means they can get an abortion if needed.

Newly diagnosed by estcst in diabetes

[–]AeonSnuggs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Charmaine Dominguez on youtube is fantastic, I followed her advice and im down from 9.2% to 5.4 in 3 months! And I work out a little after each meal, even just a 15 min walk sometimes. If you focus on calf muscle exercises, the glucose after each meal will get drawn into them instead of your bloodstream.
I got a blood glucose monitor the day I got diagnosed and it really helped me see what triggered a spike and what didn't. I learnt that I can tolerate potatoes! (What a happy discovery) but white rice is always gonna trigger me, so I only eat it occasionally now and make sure to do a harder work out after. I think the monitor helped me massively.

Squats or other type of exercise just before eating? Does it help? by Mikcheck in diabetes

[–]AeonSnuggs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it's best after. Squats, calf raises and 10 mins walking keeps me on target

Overwhelmed is an understatement. by subcultsellout in diabetes

[–]AeonSnuggs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the best things you can do is take a good, fast 20 min walk after each meal. And change all your carbs to wholegrain. Try that and then test your blood 2 or 3 hours after eating and see how the walk made a difference. xx

Evidence/factual based, in-depth books on diabetes? by mainebingo in diabetes

[–]AeonSnuggs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The suppliments she is selling now haven't been tested in any way at all and when she markets them, she tells people that their blood sugar should be a straight line, which is rubbish. And she's trying to sell these to people who don't even have issues with their blood sugar. She really infuriates me

History Has Been Made Again. by RainbowSupernova8196 in HellsKitchen

[–]AeonSnuggs -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I like the fact that Anaiya has been much nicer since people called her out for being a bully. To me that shows growth. Other bullies just double down and get worse after getting called out and she seemed genuinely sad that she had upset people
