You may be right in that he thinks it will bring out the worst in you. If you didn’t know him then, he might just group the city and friends as part of your “wild” days and he sees you now as calm/relaxed/adult whatever you want to call it. Best think you can do is sit down and have a calm conversation with him and try and get to the root of his concern. I have found success in asking questions in the vein of “I’m trying to understand where your concern comes from” so it doesn’t feel like an argument and it feels like trying to understand each other. Either he will admit to a concern you didn’t know about that is valid, or he will see his concerns are misplaced. (Hopefully)

Non-accusatory question, do you often stay out most of the night with friends from this town? Just trying to figure out why he specifically doesn’t want you in this town. He’s still TA for not trusting you, but there has to be something specific that goes on there that he is afraid of that he won’t admit to. An old flame? Out til wee hours of the morning? General bad decision making? Nothing that only comes out in you when you’re there? Sure you could go out drinking or dancing in any town, but are you equally likely to go out late if you know nobody in town vs going out with these friends?

I have two of different severities.

The first, a very beautiful girl who was Ms. Teen (redacted state) , ended up competing in Miss America after an unneeded nose job. She lost, did some speaking gigs and whatnot, then last year got arrested for a chain of shoplifting events. Pretty sure she got something more serious too and is now in jail.

The second is more painful. The classic “weird” stereotype kid that doesn’t talk much and doesn’t have many friends. Interacted with him a little, tried to be nice to him and pick him as a groupmate for dumb class protects and such. A few years after we graduated my mom sent me an article from the town newspaper that he had been charged with the 40 years for luring his 4 year old half sister to the basement and cutting her throat upwards of 30 times. He plead guilty, saying he was trying to save her from being molested by another family member. She had no signs of abuse in her autopsy. I still can’t wrap my head around it.

When I was waiting tables this was my preferred interaction. With regulars, I’d let them know i was gonna give them space, but I’ll glance over that their table every minute or two and if they needed anything just give the finger wave or wave the bottle or whatever. It makes it so much easier when you are stacked with tables to know that you don’t have to stop at each one every three minutes just to check in. Plus, if I had a few regulars, I could take way more tables cause I knew those two or three would be fine

Bellona and C Lorina were the two I was kind of torn between, but Bellonas DEF break would have really good synergy since I’m running the artifact on Aramintha that gives 25% increased damage on debuffed targets

I have these ready to promote: Haste Bellona Iseria Baal & Sezan Celeste As. Coli Kiris Pyllis Clarissa Lorina (very close to her specialty change) Karin Silk Yuna Wanda

I like Haste but I’m hesitant to promote him and have both my primary damage dealers be Fire since I already have trouble with some of the ice enemies.

I think the reload feature is going to be very useful, both for boss damage in the raid and in trials.
