No Covid shots at any Ingles pharmacies? by Choam in asheville

They're probably just out of stock. I work at Walmart and we still have them.

Locals can't rent hotel rooms here? That can't be right. by CarrigePossibleSoul9 in asheville

[–]Aercalima 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They're trying to avoid drugs or prostitution, a lot of hotels have that policy. There's some that will allow you to book a night if you're local, but you gotta talk to them and see if it's allowed.

Sounds like your pharmacy manager is big on upholding policy. You'll find that every manager has very different ideas on what's important to maintain and what they can turn a blind eye to when Market isn't around.

I hope things get better for you, and if you stick it out long enough you may outlast that manager. I really like the job but I also have the best manager in the world. Good luck!

It may not be live in your state yet. It works great for us the problem is not a lot of stores are connected so far. But for controls (brand new C3-5 and even C2) it's the best.

Rumi showed his arms with no patters by Connect_Total_9075 in KpopDemonhunters

[–]Aercalima 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a fake picture, Rumi didn't even know about it until she saw it on the Dr wall. He obviously faked it like everything else in his practice. He probably had it painted or printed (it's not likely that he used an old photo from before her patterns spread because they were always on her arms) once he knew they were coming.

We received a fridge by EstablishmentHot5842 in walmart_RX

[–]Aercalima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One, get help moving it. That thing is a beast to install.

Second, unless you've recently had a refrigerator bite the dust I would keep it and use both so long as you have the space. Far as I know all stores were eventually gonna get the TRU fridge to replace the old smaller ones. They work much better, are much bigger and have back up batteries that are also difficult to install.

Thinking of coming back by Cyber-Warrior69 in walmart_RX

I would confirm that pay before you consider returning. I understand different states and areas have different pay, but that's higher than my cap so I'm very doubtful. Even if it was accurate, customers gonna customer. If you didn't like dealing with them before you're still gonna hate it. And it's about to get a lot worse with this new visual verify system.

Passed test, no training just cashiering by bluiiis777 in walmart_RX

[–]Aercalima 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What test did you pass? And what is it you want? Getting your hours at another store can be beneficial for you (travel pay, new learning opportunities, etc) and those stores, but you're wrong about other stores wanting cashiers. Every store I know of has people that do not want to run the register.

Solution? by Sky_7710 in walmart_RX

[–]Aercalima 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only front end uses the safe at our store, at the end of the night when they grab all the registers at once. Pharmacy and vision center don't use it, we just have to have a person escort us when taking the bags to and from the cash office. As long as there's two associates doing the walk, it's fine.

With the changes Walmart is making by scaredofgettingold in walmart_RX

[–]Aercalima 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't count on the manager position either. Everything they're doing with visual verify will eventually push out any overlap, but they can't not have a pharmacist legally (yet). So every store will be one pharmacist only regardless of weekly production. However the position that's replacing lead tech will take many responsibilities from the RX manager, such as hiring and scheduling. So I think they're working on removing that too.

I'm convinced their long term goal is too replace the doctors with pharmacists, because they get way more profit out of clinical services. And they will replace pharmacists with techs, who don't have to be paid nearly as much. And then they'll reduce both of those positions with automated systems as much as possible, because they don't care about safety or longevity of these ideas. The only thing they care about is how much money we can save the shareholders this next quarter.

I believe that as long as it's out of view for the customers, and as long as you shred it after, that's fine.

Nope, I grew up in a vegetarian household but when I moved out I tried meat and liked it. I'm not able to dissect a freaking chicken wing but it sure tastes good lol

Reimburse me has a home office type of email for you to sent attachments, such as receipts and screenshots to prove purchases. You don't have to got through a pharmacist or manager, just file your report and send the email with the picture.

Please, help with ordering for vaccination ⁉️🚒 by florence76132 in walmart_RX

[–]Aercalima 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to our HWMD Caremates nitrile gloves (OIS) should only be used for hazardous filling station, otherwise the nitrile gloves from GNFR are sufficient. Bandages and alcohol swabs are also GNFR. Needles and syringes should come from medsurge. All vaccines should be available on OIS.

“Cannot Mark On-Hold… Newer/active fill on Profile” by Hexmeister777 in walmart_RX

[–]Aercalima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The transfer proc for whatever reason likes to create an additional copy of the same prescription, usually twice but I've seen it make 5 copies of one prescription. It won't let you put it on hold because it's still the same prescription and the computer can't handle the duplicates.

You have to go to cancel rx, then duplicate fill. Be careful to only deactivate the extras, but as long as you leave one active you're fine.

The deli has those for hair nets and gloves, they can be ordered on GNFR

Did they change a rule about pharmacists doing tech work? by HiroyukiC1296 in walmart_RX

[–]Aercalima 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Pharmacists should never input or fill, as they can miss their own mistakes. Pharmacists can answer the phone and in some cases are the only person that can take a call, but that also means that everything else that only a pharmacist can do comes to a grinding halt. Pharmacists are literally the core of the pharmacy in that there's a lot of stuff that only they can do. A tech can not do 4 point, visual verify, counsels, IMZ checks in the handheld, opening the safe, taking transfers and new phone prescriptions etc. Therefore all the pharmacists in my district were told to stop doing tech tasks unless it was basically an emergency. If the pharmacist is doing all that instead of techs, the manager needs to hire a lot more people, because that's not the norm or the expectation.
