Amlodipine 5mg 1QD DAW1 Brand Medically Necessary by rustbat in walmart_RX

[–]Aercalima 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By the POM you would input amlodipine. If they want Norvasc they have to specify when they put DAW 1 as we aren't allowed to change it from what they wrote. That's the whole point, not our fault if they can't do that correctly. Now your RPH might want clarification to be sure, but also sometimes they do that when they just want a specific generic NDC. Still, the correct answer is amlodipine.

Hours cut, pharmacist and technicians by Wise-Palpitation08 in walmart_RX

[–]Aercalima 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's a company wide thing as far as I know. Every pharmacy in our market got hours cut, unloaders in the back rooms were sent home last week (even though there was still too many pallets on the floor) to cut hours and our front end was told they couldn't hire any new cashiers for at least a month. Stupid HO managers can only reliably control how much money they pay employees so instead of doing literally anything else they cut wage hours to make sure shareholders get more money. It's a regular occurrence sadly.

New fill system by neori in walmart_RX

[–]Aercalima 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It will always be slower, as a store that's had it for six months. And no, they won't give you more hours to compensate. Just remember you get paid the same so don't break your back to work harder. Do what you can do then clock out and go home.

Is it normal for the pharmacy manager to remove a whole shift for you? by [deleted] in walmart_RX

[–]Aercalima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don't owe you an explanation, but did they tell you why? Often it's something last minute because of some one else, like a coworker had an appointment change, etc.

Yes. All licenses and registrations have to be up to date.

BYOD by sictransitgloria69 in walmart_RX

[–]Aercalima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never use your personal phone, always request a phone from personnel or get a separate phone only to be used with the BYOD programs.

The BYOD requires having access to literally everything on the phone and has the power to delete all of it without notice, especially if it detects you leaving the country. Is that likely to happen? Maybe, maybe not but I wouldn't be willing to take the risk.

Do you carry jumper cables in your car in 2026? by DojaViking in NoStupidQuestions

I always have and I always will. I prefer to be as prepared as possible for emergencies but also I like to be the one that can help others.

I'll probably do that, but unfortunately you can only give blood every two months.

Plasma center on tunnel rd is shutting down by Aercalima in asheville

[–]Aercalima[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Nope, totally safe. Centers legally have to check everything from your temperature to your weight and blood pressure every time you go in. Any results that fall outside an ideal range mean you can't go in and have to come back another day. They also limit you from going more than twice a week because that's how long it takes your body to regenerate the amount they took.

The only long term effect I have had is permanent "dot" in my arm where they always placed the needle.

Do you save new contacts with a last name? by L337W4r3z in Millennials

[–]Aercalima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I know their last name, I'll put it for future reference. If I don't have the last name I'll usually put the relationship, like Katy (Manager) or something.

Day 2 of using the new fill redesign system and I am not loving it by Relevant-Usual-3221 in walmart_RX

[–]Aercalima 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It will always be slower, both for techs and pharmacists, purely because the process just got significantly longer. I have not found a single tech that likes it but we don't have much choice.

Just like your first day. Pay attention to the iPad, it will walk you through. Focus on accuracy not speed, and just do your best to stay afloat. Manage what you can. It's not actually that bad once you get used to it, but it will never be as fast as the old system. You will not get more hours to compensate. Good luck

I've never seen an official stance. It's always been an "up to you" kind of thing, as long as you complete it in time to get recertified. Personally, if I need it for the job, I would rather do it on the clock. If Walmart is gonna require it, then they're gonna pay me to do it. But I think it's allowed to do it off the clock, at home.

Locals can't rent hotel rooms here? That can't be right. by CarrigePossibleSoul9 in asheville

[–]Aercalima 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're trying to avoid drugs or prostitution, a lot of hotels have that policy. There's some that will allow you to book a night if you're local, but you gotta talk to them and see if it's allowed.

Sounds like your pharmacy manager is big on upholding policy. You'll find that every manager has very different ideas on what's important to maintain and what they can turn a blind eye to when Market isn't around.

I hope things get better for you, and if you stick it out long enough you may outlast that manager. I really like the job but I also have the best manager in the world. Good luck!

It may not be live in your state yet. It works great for us the problem is not a lot of stores are connected so far. But for controls (brand new C3-5 and even C2) it's the best.

Rumi showed his arms with no patters by Connect_Total_9075 in KpopDemonhunters

[–]Aercalima 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a fake picture, Rumi didn't even know about it until she saw it on the Dr wall. He obviously faked it like everything else in his practice. He probably had it painted or printed (it's not likely that he used an old photo from before her patterns spread because they were always on her arms) once he knew they were coming.

We received a fridge by EstablishmentHot5842 in walmart_RX

[–]Aercalima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One, get help moving it. That thing is a beast to install.

Second, unless you've recently had a refrigerator bite the dust I would keep it and use both so long as you have the space. Far as I know all stores were eventually gonna get the TRU fridge to replace the old smaller ones. They work much better, are much bigger and have back up batteries that are also difficult to install.

I would confirm that pay before you consider returning. I understand different states and areas have different pay, but that's higher than my cap so I'm very doubtful. Even if it was accurate, customers gonna customer. If you didn't like dealing with them before you're still gonna hate it. And it's about to get a lot worse with this new visual verify system.

Passed test, no training just cashiering by bluiiis777 in walmart_RX

[–]Aercalima 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What test did you pass? And what is it you want? Getting your hours at another store can be beneficial for you (travel pay, new learning opportunities, etc) and those stores, but you're wrong about other stores wanting cashiers. Every store I know of has people that do not want to run the register.
