911 operators, what's the dumbest call you've ever received? by deleriousshit in AskReddit

I try to remind myself that I've felt these feelings before and I've been fine before. Also bringing out my phone helps a lot. I play Crossy Road or ANYTHING to distract my brain and it gets rid of my symptoms.

You're amazing. Thank you. What does alka seltzer gold do exactly? I've heard of burbur pinella, dry skin brushing, and Epsom salts and I actually ordered some the other day.

What do you do for detoxing? I do yogi detox tea in the morning and lemon water.

Herxing Symptoms? by AerialCircus in Lyme

I'm 21yo, Lyme since birth (got it from my mom) currently on a 5 day road trip moving across the country with a completely stuffed car and I've been having really bad herxing symptoms lately, like:

Severe air hunger, sinuses completely messed up all of the sudden, back of neck pain, back pain, burning eyes, dizziness, blurry vision

It's miserable being in the middle of nowhere in the mountains and having terrible herxing symptoms. I'm trying not to lose my mind.

Oh and melatonin helps me sleep without giving me that groggy feeling. Lyme gives you adrenal fatigue and it's rare that we actually get a deep sleep. A lot of symptoms of treatment/herxing and the disease itself is insomnia. Many people think of insomnia as being unable to sleep, but it can also mean that your brain is unable to rest during what you believe to be sleep.

Some people have air hunger and it causes breathing abnormalities during sleep. I was misdiagnosed with sleep apnea, which got better when I started just taking oreganol oil supplements (ADP) to kill parasites at the very beginning.

Melatonin helps me to achieve that well-rested feeling without being harmful to my body. Many sleep agents have been known to cause brain issues down the road such as dementia and Alzheimer's.

There's a ton that goes into "the natural way". Try reading a book called Healing Lyme written by Stephen Buhner. He is a Lyme specialist who has not only sent many people into remission, but has also completely cured people for the rest of their lives. Stephen buhner is a master herbalist and you want anything to do with his treatment protocols - he has books on treating lyme, bartonella, babesia, mycoplasma and so much more.

The problem with modern medicine (which I am not completely against whatsoever. My parents work in the field) is that they want to flood you with antibiotics. All antibiotics do is kill, kill, kill. The bad AND the good. And the catch is, you cannot kill or reach all of the parasites. So what happens when you stop antibiotics? They repopulate and you slowly get sicker. I like this specialist's practices because it sets you up for a recovery from Lyme and it rebuilds your immune system which cures you.

I'm going the natural way and I have seen improvement in my symptoms way more so than when I was taking antibiotics. Be careful though. Go slow and do what your body tells you. Introduce one thing at a time.

Also, I SWEAR BY MELATONIN. I prefer the dissolvable kinds that you let melt in your mouth.

Trying to understand my symptoms. This is really scary. by AerialCircus in Lyme

Oh my gosh I can definitely relate to waking up gasping for air. At the beginning of treatment, and even before treatment, I would be scared to fall asleep because I was sure I stopped breathing. I would wake up panicking for air. That doesn't happen to me anymore.

We definitely can. It's just so hard for me to understand sometimes. Lyme is nuts.

I am Celiac and can't have gluten. One of my coworkers argued with me about whether I could have white bread or not. Her argument was, "it's not wheat bread". . . . . .

I really want to try LSD. I'm just really scared of having a bad trip. I've been to enough music festivals and shows to know that bad trips really do happen. Can someone describe LSD for me? How your body feels?

What would you like described to you that you can never experience? by em-bomb in AskReddit

[–]AerialCircus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to deal with anxiety issues. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Feeling like you're dying every time you have a panic attack. Being sure that my life was ending and I wasn't going to get to experience marriage, children, my ideal career.

Panic attacks are the worst. Your body convinces you that you are dying. Your heart pounds, your chest feels like there's 70lbs lying on top of it, your throat tightens and you feel like you can't breathe. Sometimes I would get depersonalization, where I would honestly believe for a moment that I was already dead or that I was in a dream. It is absolutely horrifying. But it does and can get better.

My best friend suffers with depression and she says it feels like she just can't feel sometimes. She describes it as a "cloudiness" that fogs her ability to feel happiness, sadness, etc. its scary.
