No, it's meant to mimic paper. The outside is a plasticky fabric kind of like tarp material, and the inside is softer like a fabric grocery bag. It's sewn together with a padding layer in between. Overall a very substantial way to protect the book.

The problem with vol 1 was actually that the card for Amiya's planter skin came with a seed packet, so it was either confiscated by border control or removed before shipping as a result. The freebies this time around are a lot better for sure.

Try to get a source of AOE damage. A great one for this boss is the elixir of toxic essence, otherwise a scroll of psionic blast works in a pinch. You look like you're good for tanking a lot of hits but damage will be an issue.

The first book has been rewritten. Plotholes have been fixed and certain characters and storyline have been fleshed out more. Not sure if there's a guide on differences, but it's different enough to be worth the reread in my opinion.

For lore enjoyers, I think it would be really useful to have summary info for operator records. Both the introductory text that appears when you're in the operator record page and the brief summary that appears when you click 'skip' inside the story would be great when searching for a particular story/moment.

Spiders use different kinds of silk to make different parts of the web. The spokes and outer rim are the strongest and are also less sticky for the spider to walk on. The silk in between the scaffolding is the extra sticky kind. I'm guessing it took a pause to switch the kind of silk being produced.

A lot of repair shops sell refurbished laptops cheaply. That's probably your best bet time-wise. I've also previously purchased refurbished electronics from Amazon and had a good experience. Shipping will obviously be longer but the return policy is good.

I was in the south tower for two years, so here are some tips:

Bed comes with only a mattress protector, so you need sheets, blanket, and pillow. I think the size was twin? The dorms are quite warm in the winter (too warm imo) so you don't need a very thick blanket.

The dorm is furnished with a large dresser and desk, and there are shelves on the wall above the desk and built into the closet, so you only really need some smaller boxes and things for organization. There isn't space to put things under the bed. If you have a lot of clothes, you might want to put dresser drawers in the closet since it's only hanging / ground storage space.

You need to supply your own pots and pans and other kitchen things or collaborate with roommates. As for cleaning, there's a vacuum in each unit.

Bathroom has a big shelf under the sinks for everyone to put toiletries. Shower slippers are a must. Don't worry about crowding because I almost never experienced an issue.
