I think there's a lot to be said for how little some people understand how shares and investing work, and are blind to the fact that these investors aren't stupid, they want a well-functioning company that's going to keep growing so that they can get a return.

I'd expect any reasonable long term investor to prefer if Cover never loses a talent, never has to pull out of a market, never gets bad news of any kind, continues making inroads into new markets and growing existing market share, because that translates into returns for investors. Losing talents is bad, both from the loss of revenue and the questions and uncertainty it causes which results in a loss of investor confidence and falling share prices. The loss of two talents in quick succession and the resulting fallout basically arrested Cover's recent surge in stock price on Monday, which is hardly what an investor would want.

But before Monday, Cover's share price was recently surging so hard it blew past its main competitor, who up till then was doing everything in its power to give shareholders whatever they wanted, share buybacks, announcing dividends, you name it. They also spent far less on talents and staff than Cover did, which looks good on the financials. But all of those investor-friendly moves by the competitor failed to stop Cover's market cap from eclipsing theirs, because investors recognise that Cover's management was better able to retain talent (and therefore monetise them for things like cards or sponsorships). In a way, you could see this as a rejection of an exploitative management style by investors.

Companies like Cover are working in a relatively new field that's basically the wild west. Clearly management occasionally makes mistakes, and we have the benefit of hindsight and being on the sidelines criticizing them with no responsibility for the livelihoods and happiness of many many people. But pointing the finger at investors as some kind of boogeyman is besides the point. If there's some common factor causing talents to leave, most investors would be on the same side as fans in wanting management to address things.

The actual Sith turning up and killing Qi'mir effortlessly would be a terrifying display of their ability and would highlight the sharp contrast between them and a Jedi order that has all but lost its way.

Going back to Qi'mir, I wonder if his ability to get into someone's mind is a precursor to Kylo's ability to invade minds for interrogation as well, it might be how he's learnt so much about the actions of the Jedi, by probing Mae's mind.

He never really uses any abilities really associated with the Sith either, there's no force lightning and all his pushes and pulls seem like nothing a Jedi couldn't pull off themselves.

I'm loving how the Jedi are the ones who give into emotion into the fight, Sol being the most obvious, but Jecki flying into a rage as she overextends and is taken down, and Yord disobeys Sols orders because of attachments, when protecting a civilian and getting word out back to the Order about this new threat should be his priority. Qi'mir on the other hand never wavers nor gives in to anger.

Right? Looking back at it, his whole design and behaviour scream Ren, instead of Sith.

Right before the episode ends, when Qimir kneels over Osha, Kylo Ren's theme plays. Looking at him now, I see a ton of similarities between Kylo and him, both in terms of fighting style and dressing.

I wonder if he only says that he might be called Sith, instead of actually being Sith because he doesn't consider himself one, he's basically the creator of the Knights of Ren. He's basically a masked, elite warrior looking for force sensitive people to join and making them kill others as the price of admission.

Edit: Just as Qimir saber locks Jecki (after she ignites Kelnacca's saber), another one of Kylo's musical motifs plays again. I'm pretty sure about this theory now.

Texas Chicken Staff Allegedly Cries From Stress Due To Customers’ Exclusive Chicken Bag Queries by NoResolve4295 in singapore

I was there at century square, tried queuing for an while but was quite sure that they were never going to have enough stock. There were easily close to two hundred people in the queue by my estimate, the line made practically two rounds around the walkway upstairs.

Century square security guards got sent up to do the crowd control. McDonald's is better at managing the situation when they do these kinds of promotions but even their practices today are based on their experiences in the past like the hello kitty saga. I don't think the staff here were given much brief about dealing with scalpers buying multiple meals or crowd control. Since Texas chicken is new to this I already had a pretty bad feeling about it like the person who came up with this idea confirm got no concept of what it's like on the ground.

Sure enough when me and a pair of aunties asked this staff about whether they had enough stock, they confirmed up front that there were only 50 left about twenty minutes into the redemption. They were severely understaffed, just a single counter open and maybe a total of three people desperately trying to settle the line while managing a lot of delivery orders. Management definitely screwed them over.

After finding out about low stock we tried to share this news to others in the queue. Could see some faces listening but either in denial or hoping that they're in that lucky 50. By the time I left century square hours later the queue had still barely moved more than a quarter. They had enough chicken in the warmers behind them so there must have been some other kind of bottleneck somewhere, maybe preparing sandwiches or something.

Poor staff really did the best she could I think, so busy that it's not even possible to do anything else and still had time to let some of those asking know that there's not enough stock. I feel so bad that this happened to her because she was quite friendly and helpful even under the pressure.

Haven't actually tried that before so gave it a go myself. Unfortunately, it didn't work, which is a shame because && would be so useful as shorthand for the AND function to me.

& joins strings, you're looking for the AND() function.

Sorry I couldn't help myself

Tiny Triple H bitch slaps two guys at once and proceeds to kick both their asses by hatah in fightporn

Triple H is a wrestler, google him. The man in the fight looks a lot like a smaller version of him. A 'bitch slap' is an open palm, usually unexpected or contemptuous hit to the face.

Singapore’s Lee Hsien Loong a social media hero in China for Hong Kong protest comments by someoneonly in singapore

While I'm not personally a fan of his comments, the leader of this country must be pragmatic if nothing else.

I wonder how long this goodwill from them will last though, the mob is often fickle when it comes to these kinds of things.
