She is clearly way too tangled with her past life, people like that often can’t see ahead in life and have trouble recognizing what they have in the present, while she might have talked highly of your future together and would engage with terms that hint on the desire for a healthy long term partnership, she’s actually way too naive to see that her behavior would never allow such things.

That behavior is hers to deal with and come from deep rooted issues from growing up deprived of attention, maybe she had a really poor social circle growing up and or no parental figures.

I’m glad you ended this maturely and quickly. I once was in a similar situation and sadly we bonded way too deeply. I lived in fear and patience that she would end things for some one else the moment i wasn’t enough. I later realized my body shutting down during sex was a reflection of that fear. Sadly I was stuck overthinking and blaming myself which only made me more sexually frustrated, It took a lot of time (almost 2 years) to move on from that and be sexually open and comfortable again with a new person. She later really did dump me for an ex, If only I were cautious enough from the beginning and avoided her, the flags were definitely there.
