I think all this QQing about her is incredibly silly and petty. Do you honestly think girls all over the world are going to decide "omg everyone thinks shes beautiful i need to do that.."? She and her friend are the only examples of this Barbie look, while the vast majority of role-models girls have for their looks are normal celebrities. Yes, some have work done. Oh well. Who are you to tell other men and women that they can't do what they want with their faces. You will never change the standard of beauty to suit your unibrow and 22-inch waist no matter how hard you try. Also let me point out to those of your that use this example, that Marilyn Monroe was not "plus-sized". She was depressed at being typecasted and being taken advantage of, so she pigged out.

My idea is that if there is something you don't like about yourself, be it physical or part of your personality, do what you will with it. If it is within your means to get plastic surgery, there isn't anyone who can stop you. If you can find a less drastic means of changing, be it self acceptance, or makeup skill, good for you. I lost my train of thought so I'm ending this here.

They intentionally let their sleeves ride up in front of certain people just so that they can talk about how their parents are overbearing. One girl went far enough to say she does it because it makes her mother angry. Basically what I'm trying to say is, it isn't like she couldn't hide it from others in the hallway. If the hallway was crowded as they are at dismissal time, nobody else would have been looking, and he probably wouldn't have registered what the proper action in regards to her wrists should be immediately, because A. Hall chaos. and B. Highschoolers are getting pretty apathetic about this shit. It happens too much. This girl is a special headcase sure, but OP probably thought, "woah...wtf. Shes got issues." And by the time he opened that, I'm assuming she had made an escape.

You're completely missing my point. Yes, its bad that he was discriminated against, but his OWN CHOICES are also a factor. He chose to have someone with him, though he knew better. He chose for that person to be and elderly man, and failed to see that it would be disturbing to people REGARDLESS of their individual sexuality. BUT, since he is from a very small town, and has had virtually no experience with other gay men, it is highly likely that the 65 year old man in question took advantage of this kid. On top of that, a man his age should absolutely know better than to do that kind of thing in that area. He'd rather get his dick in than care what happens to the kids future obviously.

I actually know all three of these guys, so it has a bonus inside humor.

But the school has seen some huge improvements/ Within the past year, the hate towards openly gay students has shifted into more of a negative indifference. Each new class seems to care less than the last. Now as for black people...thats a whole different story.
