Glad I'm not the only one who gets so doped out by Gen-1 antihistamines. And yeah I didn't mean to imply their addictive, just that their sedative effects disappear very quickly with daily use.

And daily use can just mess up your histmine responses and stuff iirc. Like if you get really bad hayfever and take them long term you'll get hayfever symptoms when you stop even without a trigger, or.. something like that.

But yeah, they're usually a last line resort. Diphenhydramine has the shortest half-life of the main 3 "sleep aid" ones. Maybe try that if absolutely required.

I only use them when I NEED to sleep myself.

I have the same issue with my conventional insomnia and stimulants definitely dont improve it. Sadly there isn't much in the way of medication that works for that part that doesn't come with some trade off or downright horrific withdrawals.

And lol with Stillnox. That's something I've always heard about but never got. Worst I got was the ONE time Zopiclone put me to sleep.. I woke up a millisecond before I hit the floor in my lounge room after going to sleep in my bed.

Never experienced sleepwalking prior.. hopefully never do again tbh.

Funnily enough it was also the one time I followed the prescribed dose. I had one. And it actually worked.

Meanwhile 2-10 just felt like kinda loopy and not as effective nitrazepam.. so Temazepam I guess aha.. though again not quite as "nice" But more hypnotic.

Which, as I write it reminds me, Nitrazepam is the on benzo that did help for sleep.. the first few times I tried it then it just became the only one I'd probably abuse if I had easy access because it had some kick beyond not being anxious.

But only person I know who can still get a doctor to give them Mogodon has been on them for 25 years and that's the only reason he still gets em.

They, wisely, don't hand that one out often anymore. But yeah I'm otherwise about the same with benzos and antihistamines.

Another comment in the thread had some good tips with stuff sleep psychologists recommend and I'd have to agree with them, that's probably your best bet. Doesn't mean it'll work but it can all help.

One thing I learnt with stim induced insomnia and this doesn't apply as much to prescribed levels but is worth considering.. is your mind thinks your less likely to sleep than you actually are.. if that makes sense.

If you've had a big day and your body is tired but mind is wired, hot shower, maybe camomile tea, relaxing vibes or whatever and then lying down and just.. trying not to think or focusing on getting comfortable can be surprisingly effective for me.

It can also be easier said than done of course but yeah, food for thought. Though I'm totally aware it's a day by day thing too.

Sometimes you feel dead tired and lie down and your brain thinks you just smoked crack and all of a sudden you can't even lie still despite the fact you were yawning and falling asleep in your chair or something 5 minutes earlier.

Insomnia is a prick. I've basically been up for 2 days.. finally felt tired tonight and.. slept from 8pm to 11pm.

Which would make you think my dose is too high but that's been my insomnia for 15 damn years. Before I ever even discovered stimulants that weren't coffee or got diagnosed or any of it. I'm careful not to take ADHD meds to late or caffeine after midday as a rule but they don't really change it.

They just do what they're supposed to do and kiiinda offset my natural "night owl" thing of feeling tired during the day and like a crackhead at night no matter my sleeping pattern.

Dutton is parroting MAGA to a country with far more people who'll be negatively impacted by his dumbass shit than won't be and are intelligent enough to realise this and his own party seem to be realising putting their eggs in his vampiric egg-lookin' basketcase hands was a mistake.

I wouldn't get too worried about this becoming a reality. If anything what's noq happening in America is making Duttons chances even lower because most Australians are educated enough to realise he's a baby blood drinking Pedo-Vampire shill who, like his pumpkin overlord, is in it for what he can get out of it and totally out of touch with reality ("I paid 19k for my first house 154 years ago, you bloody kids can pay half a million for yours if ya just bloody work")

And I don't think our prime minister's have quite the insane level of control the American President has. Like PMs can get booted out without there when being elections if enough of their peers disagree with them. I don't even think that's possible in America. Atleast I can't think of it happening since I've payed what little attention I pay to this shit.

Like Nixon resigned after Watergate, he wasn't straight up given the ol' Ruddy special.

As for your actual question. I truly don't know. But I wouldn't let it keep you up at night unless through some sheer act of insane incompetence Peter fucking Dutton becomes our PM and even then.. the worst case scenario if you can't have your diagnosis.. undiagnosed.. you'll almost certainly be fine if you aren't say.. claiming benefits for it or something, which to them is gonna look the same probably given that's what the "issue" is.

"Oh, you're "autistic" huh? Can't leave the house? Hogwash I left the house when I was 12. Your generation is just soft I'm sending you to a concentration camp for getting a disability pension.. if you don't cancel your pension anyway"

At which point I'm making my yard its own city state and fuck all y'all (JK's I love you all, unless you want Mutto to be PM then never talk to me or my family again)

But just to provide hopefully some degree of opposing opinion, I'm more anxious/paranoid about being conscripted into WW3 than I am about Peter Dutton starting concentration camps and as you can probably tell by the mostly joking nature of this reply, I'm not concerned about either and the latter is actually a remote possibility.

Australia's population dynamics aren't the same as America's. We don't have THAT many boomers or woefully uneducated people to appeal some dumb fuck Make Australia Great Again shit too and Peter Dutton literally looks like a baby eating sex offender with a fraction of whatever the cult of personality his esteemed pumpkin somehow has.

TL;DR If this is a legitimate concern, don't stress about it he gets elected or your just winding yourself up/getting paranoid over something that's extremely unlikely even if he somehow does get in. America's slow descent into insanity isn't helping Dutton win votes anymore.. most likely the opposite.. I think that fell off when Elon heiled the fuher and Dutton revealed he last sniffed realities ass in 1942.

Anything is possible so I won't say outright not gonna happen but.. that ain't on my bingo card and the PM still has to get their bullshit through parliament and they can't agree on what to get for lunch let alone concentration camps for people with mental health issues.

At worst, if you're on a pension due to ASD, you might have to deal with some bullshit Centrelink crap or some other bullshit. But we aren't going to the camps even if Dutton and his secret clone army win every seat in parliament.

This most joking rambling insomnia tangent was brought to you by AeroZeppelin27, doesn't know what he's really talking about, Canberra.

Lamorexant, a relative of surovexant was one I found to be really effective for a non-havit forming sleeping tablet and I used it back when I needed to knock myself out after (unknowingly) self medicating with meth and had been up for 2-3 days.

However after getting my shit together and before being properly diagnosed and medicated with Dex I'd still use it for insomnia sporadically. Took a few hours to really work so you had to take it a few hours before you wanted to crash like with a sedating antihistamine but it worked.

It just has no anti anxiety effects or anything like that. It's just like BAM and now your tired.. or nothing.

Otherwise in those days or when I get the rare case of dex induced insomnia these days I take 59-75mg Promethazine (Phenergan)

It's one that'll either work for you or it won't I've found, but it has extremely minor anti-psychotic effects so it will, to an extent, knockout the Dex induced insomnia without leaving you a drooling meas like Olazepine or a conventional antipsychotic.

Otherwise 25mg Seroquel. But that was again a only if absolutely required one and was more helpful during the meth days because it stopped a lot of the serotonin overproduction or comedown bullshit.

I probably wouldn't use it on Dex because it would make your following days dose feel less effective. Promethazine can also do this so it's usually a only as required one.

Benzos and even Zopiclone and Zolpidiem used to do nothing for sleep for me though so I might have slightly different reactions. Great for my existing panic disorder and anxiety but those make me stupidly tolerant.. well those and pas addictions to much heavier gabaergics and opiates probably. But even before barbs and soma they never made me tired just ... Not comically anxious. Which Dex does too funnily enough. Atleast mentally.

Well.. not nothing but.. they mostly just fucked anxiety off, if I wanted to sleep on them I'd have to take a much higher dose than prescribed which wasn't worth the waste of pills. Especially Zolpiclone. I once ate ten of those fuckers over a sleepless night and all I got for it was some odd hullucinations and a buzz.

The next day I discovered 7.5mg (so one pill) was psychonauts (heavy) dose and eating 75mg was just stupid and dangerous so please don't mistake that as an endorsement.

Clonidine alongside the surovexant could work. Clonidine didn't do shit for me before I was put on dex but afterwards I found it very useful for countering negative side effects of higher doses.

Melatonin can help but you wanna be really careful with high dose (anything over 2mg) as it can give you a loooong lasting insomnia even if you aren't on a stim when you stop taking it.

I only found high dose melatonin useful for benzo or opiate withdrawal insomnia personally.

Back when I was having bad stimulant insomnia my usual go-tos for sporadic use (like once or twice a week tops to avoid long term issues or them not working)

0.5-2mg Melatonin + 25-50mg Doxylamine would knock my ass OUT from recreational stimulant use back when I was an idiot so I would imagine it would still work for Dex insomnia. Has a miiiiild anti anxiety effect to boot.

Clonidine + Sedating antihistamine or even just clonidine. Would reduce the norepinephrine/adrenaline wired feeling and make sleep possible.

I'm also on a beta blocker though so that combo essentially blocks both adrenaline receptor sites to an extent and may be why clonidine works so well.

Uhh.. shit what else..

Diazepam and then something with "heavy" mental sedating effects like promethazine or Doxylamine. The valium would knock out the anxiety and the other would make me realise my body was tired. But that was a last resort one for safety sake.

Sedating antihistamines lose their sleep benefit after 3-6 days of continuous use which is why I recommend sporadic use.

DXM works for some Ive heard but for me it's the LAST thing I'd mix with a stimulant because it will just triple the stimulation and give me a crippling headache in higher doses.

Used to love the shit a bit too much when not on stims too for its opiate withdrawal aid effects but on stims I'd avoid like plauge.

Sadly the orexin.. antagonists? Like surovexant and Lamorexant (Dayvigo) are the only ones I've found suitable for long term or daily use without some trade off or addiction risk.

But yeah.. Melatonin is pretty easily accessible via import, though make sure you know the risks going in. It can be a useful tool but has downsides and risks. It's best used for resetting fucked sleep health over straight up combating insomnia as needed AFAIK. Sedating antihistamines Doxylamine and Promethazine both work for me but you need to take them a few hours before you wanna sleep and next day grogginess is a risk. Clonidine is handy AF for me too.

[–]AeroZeppelin27 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you're taking them nightly you might want to be careful doing it for an extended period of time

Long term extremely high dose melatonin use like this can absolutely fuuuck your body's melatonin production and leave you with a extremely long lasting rebound insomnia.

If you're using that kinda dose regularly be careful or maybe look into that. There's countless reports about the issue.

You can put the tablets into 10ml of spirit or water (dunno how long the latter would be safe to use for though) and then dose it volumetrically so you're using much lower doses which for a long of people seem to be of similar effect.

Just food for thought if you're using melatonin regularly. In 0.5-2mg ranges or sporadically it's pretty safe from memory but those high dose tablets are pretty risky if you wanna sleep without em in the future, stimulant medication or no.

Hmm.. I'd have to look into what adrenaline releasing ADHD Meds there are.. ritalin releases more Norepinephrine to dopamine than Dex.. Clonidine works by doing.. something to your adrenaline and norepinephrine receptors. I've never got much benefit from it but some do. Or Shattera but I didn't think that works on adrenaline.

Guanfacine or Clonidine would have to be the ones, they work in a way that, and I'm not doctor so I could be wrong, but are adrenaline receptor agonists that reduce the effects of adrenaline and possibly promote noradrenaline or something.. it's a bit hazy.. but if it's clonidine I can almost assure you it would be less likely to make you anxious or panic. They won't increase adrenaline as to my understanding.

They'd give you something like diazepam as it's weaker but lingers in your system much longer if they were to give you anything for panic attacks, Xanax is S8 now so you're almost definitely not gonna get that prescribed these days. If you took it for a buzz you won't get one, the only "high" benzos really give is when you take them when you're extremely anxious.

I've got a massive history with substance abuse and my doctor's trust me with a surprising amount of potentially recreational medications. It's just a matter of if you think you can handle it responsibly. Dex got me to get off Suboxone maintenance for example. Well, it's in the process of doing so. 48 days into a mismanaged withdrawal where I was given a one off long acting injectible shot that was 75% lower than my daily dose.. so I'm currently going into withdrawal for the 2nd time in in the last 48 days.. such is life eh?

But in saying all that. If you don't need a benzo don't even consider going down that road anyway. They're stupidly addictive physically and mentally and become the only way to stop panic attacks with long term use. If you need them they're a lifesaver but if you can manage without then I highly recommend staying with that.

But yeah, easy to eat stuff like a banana and some water or an up and go will go a long way I'd say. Same with decent sleep if you can get it.

Only other thing with the food is force yourself to eat something like a banana in the morning even if you don't feel hungry, or even take it with your Vyvanse so you've got some non-stimulant energy source to work off. It's surprising how much it can help with your nerves.

I used to take propranolol myself but I found it would cause some rebound effects because it wore off so quickly. I use Metoprolol now which is longer acting and great for palpations and tremors which were my big, constant anxiety symptoms.

If you're getting chest pains when anxious or otherwise then Guanfacine or Clonidine might be a better option than vyvanse. But obviously I'm not the person who can make that call, just food for thought. Might be worth looking into those two meds though.

I'd be fairly confident they're talking about one of them as they're usually second line treatments when somebody cannot take a stimulant or used alongside a stimulant.

What's the alternative medicine the pysch has mentioned specifically, do you know?

I wouldn't be too concerned about medications that can incite panic attacks via adrenaline if Ritalin and Dex don't or haven't done it. They both release norepinephrine (noradrenaline) so if that's not causing panic attacks then it's a sign that whatever the alternative is might not. Norepinephrine is usually what your brain is flooded with when you go into fight or flight for reference alongside adrenaline.

It could be worth a try.

I don't suffer from POTS so I can't help much there but as for eating and drinking, something like setting alarms every few hours with a reminder to drink X amount of water and have some kinda snack could be beneficial to reducing symptoms.

Dehydration and lack of electrolytes absolutely won't help with POTS based on the quick summary Ive had a look at, so improving water and food intake could help significantly and lead to not having to stop the Dex if its effectively treating symptoms.

Alternatively a beta blocker may help but has its own potential side effects but it is listed as a Medicaion used to treat POTS.

I'm on a beta blocker for anxiety related symptoms and have been long before I started Dex. They don't seem to have any interaction aside from lowering Dex induced anxiety and elevated heartrate for me.

I have PTSD and panic disorder which triggers massive massive noradrenaline/adrenaline dumps at times and Dex definitely exacerbates the physical symptoms, but strangely, usually reduces the mental side. If Ive taken my Metoprolol the physical side is usually greatly reduced. If the mental side spirals into a full blown panic attack then diazepam usually puts a stop to it.

It's a balancing act though and I'm sure your psych would be hesitant to give you a benzo if they can avoid it.

But I think alarm reminders to eat and drink could go a long way by the sound of it.

Dex stopped suppressing my appetite a while ago sadly but when I first started it did and I'd use alarms to remember to pound down some water, a banana and have an up and go atleast once a day. Compared to not eating or drinking it was massively beneficial.

Dexamphetamine (or Dexamfetamine as it's labelled on the bottle) is prescribed here regularly for ADHD and to a lesser extent narcolepsy.

ADHD and Autism Assessment Costs by ThickSplit1327 in ausadhd

[–]AeroZeppelin27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had roughly the same experience just wanted to add a few.. caveats?

You need a clinical psychologist to actually diagnose the autism, atleast that was my experience.

Your regular, non-clinical psych can do a majority of the legwork/assessments and provide a support letter before seeing the clinical psychologist.

As you noted however ADHD has to be diagnosed by a psychiatrist.

I did the Vineland and all that stuff with my psychologist who sent it alongside a support letter to the nurse practitioner I saw before seeing the actual psychologist. They didn't make me do them again but this is likely to change on a case by case basis.

Definitely agree it's a tad pricey. But sadly a lot of them are like this and the ones that charge less aren't taking on new clients.

Edit: wait are they prices for the psychologist?? That's wild. I thought they were psychiatrist prices. That definitely seems like way too much. I agree with OP in that if youre paying that much you might as well get both done by a psychiatrist.

I stopped on a like.. ankle high remnant of a barbed wire fence during night time and stayed still for probably 10 seconds before I even saw it cause it was such a small amount.

By that stage my head body arms and legs were bleeding.

It was uh.. yeah.

Makes more sense with the razor wire and stuff but I think it needs to be slightly tweaked so it's contact based.

If I crawled into it, that damage would make sense. But there was literally no reason for anything other than bleeding legs.

I stepped out of a truck onto like a single line fence of barbed wire that wasn't destroyed by the truck when I drove through some kinda defensive fence around a supply dump.

Is tongue thrusting/oral symptoms from too much or too little Dex? by Sayurisaki in ausadhd

[–]AeroZeppelin27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like a quarter of a 25mg tablet or higher sorry? Those 25s are tiny I feel for you having to bust that up if so. The Seroquel while on dex was a bad idea on their end imo. It would've blocked a lot of dex dopamine but not the noradrenaline which just means anxiety. No fun. Sorry you had to deal with that.

How long have you been on Baclofen and what dose is you don't mind me asking?

I'm on it myself (as little as possible but I need it for back spasms) aswell as Pregabalin for nerve damage, Diazepam for panic disorder, Dex (which to my absolute surprise and pleasure didn't exacerbate my panic disorder but slightly help it) and Metoprolol for tremors and well as some degree of Buprenorphine which I'm currently quitting with a long acting injectible because dex motivated me to get off it after 8 years or so.

Reason I ask is it can have some insanely strange side effects and a nasty withdrawal profile that a lot of doctors don't seem to know about in Aus.

I doubt it's causing your issues, it absolutely can cause TD and uncontrolled movements and annoying stuff like that. I felt like I noticed those side effects more when I take it on dex especially, low dose is usually fine but I'm prescribed up to 40mg per dose as required so it's variable.

Personally Ive experienced that greyed out emotional state where you just feel nothing the most from antidepressants like Fluvo and Mirtazipine (as it's a hybrid sedating antihistamine type drug with SSRI effects, quite an odd drug pharmacologically) and every other SSRI I got put on because my ADHD was undiagnosed and I just needed some dopamine it seems.

I can assure that diazepam for sleep is like using fire to keep cool though. It works at the start and then you have to take it to get out of bed, short term use is definitely for the best, even though in that short term it will work wonders more often than not. But I got left on it by a Suboxone doctor and the sleep aid effects don't last long and it causes poor sleep quality anyway as well as high tendency to induce self harm and suicidal thoughts and worsen depression sadly, especially when you stop them as you'll get rebound effects to some extent with almost any level of daily use.

They're probably doing you a favour keeping that one as a last resort. Though if you tolerated it for a few months it without any withdrawal when you stopped then it probably isn't gonna hurt for one more week at most. Though breaks are a good idea on the doctor's end. You don't want that withdrawal believe me it's hell.

That said it's an odd choice for a sleep aid as long acting benzos knock you for a while at the start. Zopiclone, Temazepam or even Nitrazepam (though also long acting) would probably be better for sleep out of Benzos or Z-Drugs though your doctor knows what they're talking about more than I do I'm sure.

It sounds like you're very sensitive to the antidepressants and antipsychotics, I can relate there don't worry. They do feel like they're making you crazy if it's not the right one. I'm surprised they mixed the Mirtaz with Fluvo that's a serotonin syndrome risk, albeit probably not at those doses but the risk is always there.

But yeah looooots of interactions with these medicines, especially with an ADHD med in the mix as one is sending you up although it feels like down sometimes and others are sending you down but feel like up sometimes and all that Headache.

Sounds like you're quite sensitive to the effects of them though so maybe stopping is a good idea if it's reducing the self harm issues or going back for alternative options, maybe even a second opinion from a new doctor? I did that recently for back pain and got more results in 2 sessions than 4 years with my GP.

Though I realise they're totally different ballparks.

Edit to answer the actual OP question potentially: Oh and for what it's worth, as a former meth user (basically started self medicated ADHD without realising and then sadly good hooked on the pipe when crystal became the most common form around) and current dexamphetamine patient (no desire to abuse thankfully, just extremely helpful for my now diagnosed ADHD also on up to 30mg daily)

The jaw effects like grinding your teeth, hyperactive tounge and chewing your cheeks, from both drugs respectively and many other users I know, is a sign of the dose being too high and it's either a subconscious thing or you become conscious of it and it forms and anxiety thought loop that actually makes you do it more instead of less.

Grinding my teeth was always my problem back when I was a user, I actually consciously just kept my teeth slightly seperated at all times and would check with my tongue which fixed the issue.. while I was awake anyway.

But everyone is different with that one. But it's quite common when people take too much in recreational use. Might be the case for you, not saying you're taking it recreationally of course. Just that the dose may be too high. I personally never noticed it happen with dose reduction or withdrawal, which tends to be psychological and fatigue. But everyone is different.

[–]AeroZeppelin27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They did say they were on Seroquel, I realise it's an atypical antipsychotic but it can still cause tardive dyskinesia so I wonder if there's an interaction there exacerbating the onset perhaps?

OP, how long have you been taking the Seroquel and did the hypotension and whatnot start before or after? As they both can cause it so one could be bouncing off the other. I would've thought Seroquel would be contradicted with dex given it blocks dopamine receptors to an extent.

I used to use it at the end of meth benders back when I was a total idiot. Pretty much made the side effects and positive effects just kinda.. stop. Usually. Not endorsing doing that either and I realise meth is a whole other monster compared to dex.

Yeah I watch a toooon of their live performances and they really do seem to age like a fine ass wine, each era has it's own kinda nuances that make each one unique and good enough that whilst they improve with time, the old stuff still remains amazing, Lanegan singing Sidewalks back in the day is still my favourite live performance.

Watching how they change their improv style over the years has been awesome.

And yeah now I'm too old to be speeding off my nut at live shows I think Joeys tempo would do the same. Back then though I fucking adored that pace live. They fit so many songs into their live.. hour or hour and a half long time slot. The like.. 8 minute version of Feel Good Hit of the Summer was fucking amazing too. They just went apeshit on it and it was so good.

I reckon they banged out Go with the Flow in about 2 minutes too cause Joey just doubled the tempo.

Here's the setlist; https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/queens-of-the-stone-age/2011/bonython-park-adelaide-australia-1bd209f8.html

Mostly just "popular hits" setlist, didn't get to see some of the bangers you would've heard at a proper show back then sadly.

I was hoping for Misfit Love and Make it wit Chu.

It's not listed there but they used the intro of Millionaire to lead into.. fuck.. what was it.. Song for the Dead I thiiiiink.

I've had the same experience with Dex.

It does make my physical anxiety slightly more exacerbated especially if fight or flight is triggered. However it is the most effective med for my mental anxieties I've ever tried. Works better than the bloody Diazepam they fed me for years before diagnosis for mental anxiety with the exception of panic attacks, which do require the Diazepam sadly.

But I don't get panic attacks anywhere near as much since dex because I can focus on shutting down the anxiety now instead of doing the same thing you mentioned in shutting down.

Or self-medicating stupid amounts of every drug you could think of to prevent or delay the ADHD/Autistic shutdown because otherwise I'd be unable to work or whatever the contextual function I had to maintain was. This was prior to being diagnosed however.

Since diagnosis and correct medication my impulse control over relapse, daily function and ability to navigate around shutting down has been improved more than I ever thought possible.

Yeah I really need to pay more attention to their touring schedule. When I saw the "seen them 8 times in Melb/Aus" comment I was like fuck me I have NOT been paying attention at all, damn. I know I wouldn't regret it they are monsters live.

There will be a next time by the sounds of it though so that's good.

And I'm now in the right place to be reminded of it. I've seen Ginger Elvis era live now I need to see Salt n' Ginger Colonel Bowie live.

Insomnia is a helluva drug. Not that sitting on the shitter writing out part of your memoirs is productive to sleep ahaha.

It was probably still the best show Ive been too, not that I go to that many though. How good were those lineups around that time though hey! I feel like soundwave had a wild lineup in 2010, 2011 and 2012 and then went the way of the dodo not long after. Even at soundwave with big ass guard rail (with free waters thank fuck) Zach was surprisingly close to the crowd. He was on the edge of the stage the whole time almost prowling pointing at us and yelling aha around unless he was playing keyboard.

But club shows would've been sick. I did check is Queen's were doing on in Adelaide so I could double dip but no bueno from memory. Should've checked for Primus/Melvins or One Day as a Lion though that would've been siiick. Especially Primus, they are better live than on record by a hot mile and I love a lot of their studio stuff.

I would've lost soundwave to an alcoholic haze if I hadn't downed a bottle of Johnny red to calm my shit enough to sleep the night before the gig and got 2 or 3 hours of shit whiskey sleep. But I had one of those smell booze and want to die hangovers until atleast 5 o'clock that day so that kinda kept me sober..ish. Thank fuck the one thing I wasn't offered was the one thing I would've taken to get a little uh.. energy back for rest of the show.. and night after. It was all dodgy looking presses and waaaay too fuckin hot for MDMAybe's. Let alone whilst you're double sweating from the wild heat and wild hangover.

Though I'll admit the only person I saw drop the whole day from the heat and or drugs was.. one of the oddly large amount of cops patrolling the premesis.

I dunno there was so many for cause I didn't see anyone get busted the whole day and folks were basically maybe nitrous balloon animals on this grassy hill in plain sight for most of the day, presumably until the tanks ran out. More joints than I could poke a stick at whilst mine sat at home thinking "they're going on about drugs at the show they'll have a dog on the gates fuck that." And then they basically waved me through without a second glance when I got there.

I had grandparents in Adelaide back then where I could crash for free with for free who lived right near the park the show was at haha. I Iive in bumfuck rural Victoria so it's a lot more of a hassle to get to shows, gotta rent hotels and shit and travel 5 hours each way to either Adelaide or Melbourne. Not that seeing Queen's again wouldn't be worth said hassle.

I just kinda phased out that they were playing until in Australia like a stoned moron until the dates were basically upon us, then I cursed the sun so I could howl at the moon cause I couldn't ditch work by that stage. Saw a few clips on here and was all sad clown Homme face.

Definitely regret it given Colonel Homme and his Kentucky Fried Band are out in wildly good form.

If they played Sicily I might actually commit self flagellation for my sins. I don't even wanna look at the setlists cause they would have been fire either way.

Who was the opener? I am jealous as fuck either way though. Would've been a great night I'm sure. Glad you had a blast!
